December 17, 2012, 22:13 Hello everyone who wants to travel from Papeete to Easter Island in autumn 2013 and wonder if anyone has made this trip with LAN-airline? I' m cited once a week, so you have to remain on EI for 6 days to capture the Tahiti trip, and a prize of $1000.return!

You can certainly take a plane back to Santiago and await your Tahiti trip? 18.12.2012, 10:03 Actually they only go to Tahiti once a week, so you have to remain until your homecoming - the Santiago - EI is four time a week, but it doesn't go on to Tahiti.

What I have heared from other post is perfect 6 days since others have been commenting there is much more to see other than just moai. What I have seen from the other post is more. Perhaps with the reforming economies, another trip can be added, as I understand that many of the inhabitants have homes in Tahiti, and this trip is their only link to see them!

I' d like to know from others who've done this part. January 1, 2013, 5:50 pm In October we left Tahiti for Easter Island. It was scheduled to take off one Tuesday at 12:20 and should arrive the next Monday at 22:15.

We had a good return trip, but the Easter Island trip was late. We were in Tahiti with a lot of late flights, so there's a good shot he'll be late for you. It' probably not going to have any effect on your travel itineraries, but it is remarkable. I' ve found that six on Easter Island is a good period of the year.

Had I had a decision, I would have remained a days or two longer because I would have been missing a few things. This is because there are no airlines flying directly from Tahiti to Santiago, so Easter Island is used as a stop-off point. As I went through custom, I realized that there were many more men in the Santiago line than in the Easter Island line. I' ve been enjoying Tahiti.

Irrespective of what they said, Tahiti was (mostly) cheap. Probably because I come from New Zealand, which is also regarded as an expensively traveler' s target (we also remained at Couch Surfers). It was definitely less costly than Easter Island. Tahiti and Easter Island are both great places to visit despite their high costs.

When flying from Australia to Tahiti - can I take the Papeete > Easter Island and a weekend later the plane back - or do I still have to go to/via Santiago? July 1, 2013, 8:06 AM Yes, I am not going to Santiago, only to Easter Island & back.

This would be a much less stressful trip for me from Aus !
