The Czech Republic - Tourfilm 2015: The secret of Easter Island in Karlovy Vary

For the 48th year running, the world's oldest annual travelling theme filmfestival is taking place. Our country of partnership is the mystical Easter Island. Presentations of tourism-oriented movies will take place from 1 to 3 October at the Thermal Hotel and Grandhotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary, where every guest has free entry to all presentations and to the associated seminaries and work-shops.

Tomá? Otradovec, Creativ Producers & Associates in Toaster Pictures, BRONZE LION, this year's chairman of the panel of judges, who selects the winner of all prizes and the Grand Prix, will present an accolade for the work of Cannes Lions 2015. This year' s edition of the event, in a new optical format, offers not only demonstrations but also conventional workshop sessions for local counterparts.

The TourRegionFilm workshop will present new tendencies in the representation of local travel destination and opportunities to promote the Czech Republic through movie tourists. Rapa Nui - Easter Island, which will take over the staff of Morocco, is this year's country that will welcome the visitor on Friday.

Miloslav Stingl, who is 85 years old this year and was the first Czech on Rapa Nui, the actresses Bob Klepl and Anna Polívková and the archeologist Pavel Pavel, who investigated the possibilities of transport of the heavier items used in the building of the monuments of the distant past, will give lectures on this extraordinary city.
