Western Samoa Surf

You have a surf guiding service and a skipper to take you to any surf spots that start on a specific date.

There' s sensible snorkelling at the front of Maninoa Surf onto the beach, but we found out that the best snorkelling was on a Neil excursion to Black Sands Beach. There was a tortoise on the front of the coconuts and lots of pelagic life, but the reef is a bit corrobornn. While we traveled around, as well as Lalomanu Beach (which you should take into account in your trip), we found that Black Sands Beach (for snorkelling) was much better because it was sheltered from the tidal wave and Hurricane Evan.

I' ve been snorkelling in coconuts for many years. Bring your own snorkel equipment if you can. and snorkelling, but we used coconut-fin. An excursion to Apia, the nearby water falls and as much of the island as possible.

When in Maninoa, you can dine at the Sinalei Reserve, Coconuts or Lupe's Café/Restaurant, all just a few meters from the sea. With a group in one evening we had 4 major dinners and a lot of Samoan beer and the bill was under AUD $45.

There I had a YUM coctail there one evening for AUD$7, while if I had ordered one from Sinalei or Coconuts, it would have been over AUD$20. To get there you can take the village shuttle from the coastal street, which is only a few meters from the shore.

Otherwise use some of the locals' taxis. It was a great time with another New Zealand pair, in places we probably wouldn't have known if it hadn't been for our'guide'! When staying at Maninoa Surf Folks you can either take part in the Sinalei Estates Financial Evening (Wednesday with breakfast, a little expensive, but we were said the dinner is good) or in the Coconuts Financial Evening, which takes place on a Saturday evening (their a la care menu).

An absolute must in Samoa. It was astonishing to see the fire-knife dance, especially the participation of the Coconuts people. Look at your rates for some of the surf destinations in Samoa because some of them are very expensive and not many choices for groceries.
