Niihau Helicopters

It was a great adventure when we travelled with Ua and George von Niihau Helicopters to Niihau and enjoyed the waves and the sands. Among other things, our reservations were approved, we received the security briefing, the radiator was set up with lunches and beverages and assisted us in the chopper at Port Allen airport. George, our flight instructor, was instructive and laid-back and led us over Niihau, where we were fortunate enough to see a flock of Eland.
On the northern bank near a pavillion with tables and banks we landed. Colours of the waters were astonishing with green, golden, blues, turquoise. Fascinating rocks to follow the pattern from the coast over the ocean to the undersea world. There was a fresh breeze to go swimming. It simply wheeled and searched very contentedly for an hours, until it strolled eventually into the lower depth.
to the Robinsons, who will give us this chance. ahalo Ua and George!

Two palaeontologists, a "chaot", a solicitor for InGen investment, and his grandkids, are invited to be the first visitors to the Isle.
But an angry staff member is sabotaging the Jurassic Park safety system and letting the blind dinosaur loose on the visitor. Hammond flying to Alan Grant's excavation site in Montana. We' re taking the chopper to Jurassic Park. Powered by Niihau Helicopters.
Enmeshed mumpback whales sighted near Niihau
Lihues - Native sailors and drivers are asked to look out for a crossed moguls sighted by a touring skipper off Niihau on Tuesday mornings. "It wears a wide track that is wound around its back in front of the flipper and most likely around its tail," Ed Lyman, the reaction co-ordinator to the involvement of whales in the Hawaii National Marine Sanctuary, warned.
This line runs about 50 to 60 ft behind the dog, which is described by him as a subadult or grown-up with a length of 30 to 40 ft. The most conspicuous are the two polyp balls or buoy, which run after the beast. Alaska cog wheel was born, which means that the cetacean probably wore it 2,000 plus aprox. mile to the Hawaiian islands, Alaska.
"The marks, the line sizes, the buoy configurations all point to Alaskan pots," he said. In spite of the weight, the pet is still agile and has recently been sighted by Niihau helicopters on the lee shore of Niihau. Holo Holo Charters Superintendent Mel Wills said one of his company's ships, led by Wendell Merritt, discovered the desperate cetacean at around 10:20 a.m. in Lehua craters at the northern end of Niihau.
"He said, every year we see at least one involved beast." The line and buoy could be "ghostly equipment" - decayed equipment abandoned or missing in the oceans - or active fishing at the moment of the knot. The Shrine' s Director of Kauai Programmes, Jean Souza, said that one of the greatest challenge in handling complex creatures is to increase the number of precise accounts and limit the number of inaccuracies.
She said that in the past, bycatch alarms have led to a dozen visual defects that eventually take a while to locate the suffering pet and give it the help it needs. Lyman is hoping with this special cetacean that the two bay lights will help reducing the number of misreports. When the pet is discovered despite its bad state, it still has a combat opportunity.
So far, the Hawaiian Islands Enanglement Resse Net has rid 19 large cetaceans of their life-threatening involvement in Hawaii. Those events have involved the removal of nearly 8,000 ft of quantifiable line and 45 Sets of gears, according to Lyman. Bycatch is not just a consequence of the use of gears. The rescue of an pet from a life-threatening condition is worthwhile, but the aims of the involvement net do not end there.
It also concentrates on collecting information to mitigate the threat of entanglements in the fu-ture and promotes training and consciousness as well as security, Lyman said. That' s why Lyman said enmeshed humpbacked cetaceans should be sent to NOAA, where skilled experts have the necessary tools and expertise to tackle the slaughter. Seafarers and pirogueurs are requested to look after the pet, obtain extra documents from a reasonable distance (100 metres on the sea and 1000 ft from the air) and call the NOAA fishing hotline at 888-256-9840.
