For snorkelling where in the South Pacific/Indian Ocean? Hello, my missus and I are looking for a beautiful place to go snorkelling (and myself some underwater photography). We have made several of Hawaii' Isles, the Keys and Vanua Levu and Viti Levu in Fiji. She used to love the flat Fijian Lagoon with its corals and hoped to find something similar somewhere else.

But she wants a new postmark on her pass, and I know better than arguing with her! First I thought of the Cook Islands, but I hear that snorkelling is not so great and is mostly a small sandy bottom with small corals.

I am open for Maurtius, Maldives, Solomon Isles, Vanuatu, etc. Also I know that Belize or other Atlantic/Gulf Island and locations can be less expensive, but I'm not so much interested in the fishing in these areas, I'm more interested in Pacific Fishes and hope to take a picture of an angel angelish!

Snorkelling in Matangi was the best thing we have ever had. A lot of fishs, huge mussels, nautical stars, with a lot of corals.
