Overview - The United Nations warn that increasing ocean level could erode the shores of Easter Island and wipe out many of the remnants of the Easter Island's old population. Most of the beach sands have been removed by the swell, resulting in craggy foam. Tombs have been destroyed and it is not clear how long they will last the ripples.
