Initially inhabited by the Mescalero Apache, the area was called Rio Ruidoso by the Hispanics. "Profoundly ingrained in Indian civilization and inspired by the early Spaniards, Ruidoso still retains its wealth of heritage, coupled with the comforts of a world-class alpine town.

We have a lovely natural environment with more than a million hectares of wildlife and forests, perfect for walking, horse back riding and MTB.
