Chile Easter Island Tours

The runaway of Easter Island has a west-east orientation. The time is unfortunately limited, but I would like to see Easter Island. Tailor-made Chile and Easter Island Travel Adventure Newcomers Jerry and Maureen Pearo, Russ and Mary Horsch, and Damon and Becky Farber took off to Santiago, Chile last February for an unbelievable Chile and Easter Island travel time! Her tailor-made tour includes stays in La Vega and Mercado Central (two of Chile's most popular markets), on the island of Chiloe, in the Cochamo valley, in the Valparaiso vines and on Easter Island.

You had a little over three week to get to know Chile. Really, their journey seems like a holiday of a lifetime; rural llodges coupled with winetasting and sightseeing on Easter Island, I drool! Thanks Jerry and Maureen for having sent us all these stunning pictures of your individual Chile and Easter Island travel adventures!

Arrival from the Aéroport to the Farbers to pick you up, pick up at 12:00 you start in the city centre and in the famous Plaza de Armas. You will get to know a little of Chile' s past and debate how Chile' s food is still influenced by Spain' s colourful and colourful past.

Next you will be visiting the two most popular market towns in Santiago: You will be guided through both fairs and stop at different places to sample local dishes such as homemade shrimps and Empanada and traditional beverages such as "Cola de Mono" (a smooth beverage prepared during the holidays) or "Terremoto" (with pinapple icecream and artisanal wine).

Spend a whole outing in Santiago on your own. We will pick you up at your accommodation (please wait in the foyer at 5:45 am with bags) and take you to Santiago International according to your transfer to Puerto Montt. After your check-in in Puerto Montt, your Chiloe expert will pick you up and take the boat across the canal to Chiloé Island for about half an hours, where you will be greeted with local harvesters.

We will then drive to the small fishermen's hamlet of Dalcahue, where the shore is bordered by the old fishermen's vessels that are still vital to the island's people. Come and see the old folk market, famous for its lamb wool wovens, before we drive to the city of Castro.

Checking into a Paleafito styled shop here - on stilt over the low water. Wander the dozy rural roads bordered by wooden shingled houses and see the UNESCO World Heritage Site Cathedral. More than a hundred years old and with no pins and in the reverse boating spirit, this is an architectonic work of art that will make you wonder about the interesting amalgamation of Jesuits and animists on the island.

Mornings you will see the lost wood of Chepu on the western shore of the island. Many of the island's myth and legend go back to this mystic wood. Continue to the island's north foothills to a protected bay where you can cruise aboard a small fishermen' vessel and watch Humboldt and Magellan Penguin, as well as observe Otter, Robben and countless birds.

In Ancud, after having dinner with a delicious meal and a stop in the city of Ancud, take the boat back to the shore and take the one and a half hours trip to Puerto Varas for the while. Situated on the shore of Lake Llanquihue, this beautiful city overlooks the beautiful Osorno volcano and is a favourite holiday resort for Chileans from the south.

You are invited to see the Kolonialmuseum, explore the shore of the lake and try some cakes. We leave Puerto Varas today (please wait with your bag in the foyer until 10 a.m.) and travel back in again in the Patagonia Wild.

We stop in Perez Rosales National Park, Chile's second biggest, and explore the volcanic, teal -coloured Petrohue Fallen at the bottom of the Osorno volcano, before we enter the Reloncavi Fiord and continue to the enchanting Campo Aventura Riverside Cottage, where you can have a delicious meal in its cosy, candle-lit cafe.

Following an extensive breakfeast, the gauchos and their guides will saddle your horse and keep it for you. Those who don't like to ride can hike along the 400-year-old path that was once used by Butch Cassidy and finally traverses the whole Andes chain between Chile and Argentina. They will be returned to Puerto Montt according to your transfer to Santiago.

After your arriving in Santiago, a Knowmad agent will pick you up and take you westwards for about an hours to the Winelands, where you will be checked into an unbelievably enchanting shop. Be prepared and wait in the hotelier with your pockets at 9:00 a.m.) Chile's step towards winegrowing with a cold atmosphere began 25 years ago, when pioneering winegrowers ventured to propose the plantation in the Casablanca area.

Today, the Val is world-famous for its technologies and its dedication to the territory, and produces some of Chile's best whites and red wine with a cold climat. Here you can take a trip, a taste and a picknick before you return to Santiago. After daylight, take the minibus to Valparaiso, where you will spend the night in a beautiful hilly area.

Your tour leader will pick you up at your guesthouse at 9:00 a.m. Enjoy the sightseeing tour of the cities and countryside of the coast just south of Valparaiso. Chile's stunning coast provides stunning vistas of crisp ocean currents, scenic drama and pristine sandy sands.

The whole morning will include a stroll through the Chilenean Palmtree Forest in La Campana National Park, a meal in the picturesque city of Maitencillo and a relaxing afternoons in the picturesque lakeside Zapallar. At 10:00 a.m. your tour leader will meet you at your accommodation for a tour of Valparaiso.

Valparaiso is a must for every tourist in Chile. Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the first Spanish towns in Chile, was the most important South America seaport in the Pacific for hundreds of years until the Panama Canal was inaugurated. In the early afternoons you will be collected and brought to your accommodation in Santiago.

They will be collected at 14:00 and brought to Santiago. You' ll be collected from your accommodation (please wait in the foyer at 6:30 am with bags) and fly on to Easter Island.

After your check-in you will be picked up at Mataveri airport and taken to your chosen lodging on the island. The tour leader will inform you about the pick-up time for later Easter Island trips. Approved flight: From Santiago 9:15 am until Easter Island 12:55 pm Today we have a full days trip to the south-eastern and northeastern part of the island with the Temple of Vaihu, Akahanga, Tongariki, Te Pito Kura, the Rano Raraku stone pit and the sandy part of Anakena.

Akahanga is said to be the tomb of the first lord of the island, Hotu Matu'a. Ahu Tongariki is considered the biggest gigantic monolithical memorial in Eastern Polynesia. There are 15 of the island's biggest sculptures on this astonishing show. Tongariki really is one of the most unbelievable places on the island with the nearby rocks and the wonderful backdrop of the island.

Nowadays, this sculpture is in a tumbled state, as all the sculptures on the decks used to be. Rano Raraku stone pit could very well be one of the most astonishing places in the underworld. Rano Raraku is also known as a sculpture plant.

95% of the island's sculptures were made from the Rano Raraku vulcanic cliff. 397 Moai were numbered in Rano Raraku. Several have been completed and are awaiting transport on the hillsides of the volume, while others are still linked to the volcano's parent rocks at various states.

We' ll also be visiting the Puna Pau pit, a small volcanoe that was the primary spring of the Red Scoria rock. The knots were found on the top s of some of the island's biggest statues. The last of our day's visits is to Ana Te Pahu Cape, one of the literal hundred pipe caverns on the island.

You can see here the traditions of the old islanders to use part of this cavern as a shelter for their garden, as well as a great spring for freshwater. You have the opportunity today to explore one of the many Easter Island sights during a half-day tour, such as the craft fair, where you will find real handmade island memorabilia.

There is also the Catholic Church, the only one on the island; or the Archaeological Museums, also known as Father Sebastian Englert which is the name of the Archbishop who devoted his whole being to the studies and preservation of the Rapa Nui heritage. We will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the international airports, where you will be taken back to Santiago, where you will be collected and taken to the town.
