Motu Te: Te Motu's wine room is located in a relaxed gardens full of good things to eat in the restaurant's cuisine. There are no jars for selling (they have no licence), and there is no restaurants, but their experimentation with the different types has been worthwhile.
New Zealand's most famous wine growing area is located at the north end of the South Island. The Queenstown has much to recommend: a delightful city with great dining, a wonderful glacial pond surrounded by the rugged Remarkables mountains, and a tasty Pinot Noir. Many of the estates offer free or cheap wine tasting, making it one of the cheapest places to go on a wine outing.
This is a New Zealand vineyard: a powdery, single-lane street cut into a mountain slope and dropping sharply into a glowing bluefin. A few nerve-wracking moments and you will be surrounded by a row of vineyards until you reach the wine area. There you will be awarded with some of the juicest Pinot Noirs of the area.
Don't miss the Mata Au Pinot Noir. Hold here for dinner - the meats and cheeses plates will faint you, especially when coupled with their tender, lightweight Chenin Blanc 2014. From the terrace you have a breathtaking panoramic look at the various vines that inhabit the Bannockburn area in the central Otago Valley.
