Fullers Waiheke Island

Initially we wanted to do this trip with another firm, but they were on vacation. We were not dissapointed by the Fullers Button of Waiheke trip. The Stoneyridge Winery was our first stop, where we heard a lecture about viticulture. The next one was the award-winning Olivenhain, where we received information about the story of virgin olives, the lecture was short and instructive, the friendly personnel provided many tasting sessions and wines.

Next stop was my favorite, Wild on Waiheke, where we heard the most interesting lecture about beers from an energetic, fun and instructive English family. It was very enjoyable and the rehearsal was great. We' ve bought a six-pack of very good beers. Our last stop was Mudbrick, a pretty vineyard on a hillside with beautifully maintained orchards.

However, had an interesting conversation by the organizer and had to try many tastings. The Waiheke is a wonderful, untouched island 45 minutes from Auckland.

Waiheke Island Fullers

Conducts a Wine on Waiheke trip (adult $140, 4½ hrs, departure Auckland 12.30 hrs) and visits three of the best vineyards on the island, incl. a plate of snacks. There is also the Taste of Waiheke route (adult $150, 5½ hour, departure Auckland 10.30 am), which features three vineyards as well as an oil plantation and a soft meal.

The Waiheke Island Explorer, a hop-on-hop-off coach that runs 15 different stations on a 90-minute cycle, is also operated by Fullers.

Wharf2Warf - Waiheke Fun Run and Waiheke Meeting

The 25K run is the final challange for the mechanic among us. It' s undulating, especially at the beginning, but that makes the challenges of this premier tournament even greater. Waiheke is a scenic stroll through some of the most scenic landscapes Waiheke has to boast of. Kids Dash is a fun races just for the kids.

Wharf2Wharf's next date has been fixed for March 9 next year. Anybody wishing to register for the Fullers Wharf 2 wharf run and pace is strongly encouraged to register now to prevent post-March 1 March postnight entrance charges. - Keas Kids Dash around Matiatia at the age of 5-8 years.

Adult entry: $50 for grown-ups, $20 for junior and $5 for children. Because it' s a bay, racing like the Warf 2 Warf lets in the best parts of ours. "Here it is this island - its pebble tongues, its howling hillocks, its greenery, its whining tide.

" Since the Waiheke Harrier Run in the early 1990s, the numbers have grown. "Keas Kid's Dash around Matiatia at the age of 5-8. Submissions start at $50 for grown-ups, $20 for junior and $5 for children. For a long time now, Duan Marshall and his daugther Niila are on the road in Waiheke to prepare for Fullers Wharf2Wharf on Saturday, March 17th.

They began practicing with the Fullers Wharf2Wharf 12K in September - their first practice run was 3K and while Duan acknowledges that it was hard, it didn't take them long to get going. There are no hurdles except the early Saturday mornin'. They are able to share the reward and compete against each other.

Waiheke is a good place for cross-country skiers. What are your favorite tracks on the island? Every weekend we switch our run for fun, there is no place on Waiheke where you can run without a mountain pass.
