After all, we know how amazing it can be to plan a Maui holiday - especially for the first one. Believe us, we have put together a very entertaining and convenient seven-day route that will help you enjoy all the attractions while giving you enough free space for your own interests. Maui can be a long trip and with jetlag you may not be able to remain up long after sundown.

We therefore advise you not to plan any trips or even to reserve a meal. An excellent way to take full benefit of Jetlag while you start your Maui holiday is the rising sun above a 10,000 foot craters in the Haleakala National Park. Have a look at our Haleakala Dawn Hints for detailed plan.

At dawn from the top you can find out more about this vulcanic scenery in the summit's visitor centre and enjoy a wide panorama of the craters. If you like, you could be in Haleakala for more than that. Helping ranger could give ideas. But if you have the power and interest, it would be more comfortable for you to discover more of the interior as you are already there.

Visiting a botanic gardens. When you don't want to go snorkelling but want to see tropic fishing, there are some good options to go to the Maui Ocean Center and take the Atlantis submarine. Maui' s got some great fun, maybe you'd like to have some afternoons.

Maui' s famed Hana Strait winds its way through a dense rain forest with falls and a view of the spectacular marine scenery. Have a look at our hints for how to get to Hana. When you can't spend a whole night on the Hana Strait, take a look at our Mini-Guide. However, please be aware that we suggest that you explore the Hana Highway within three working nights of your trip to Haleakala, as the admission charge you have already made is still applicable to entry to the Kipahulu area of this area.

On purpose we let this one be as individual as some folks like to spend the night in Hana to discover more of the falls, walks and landscapes off the highways. So if you don't spend an additional night in Hana, here are some ideas on how to spend the day:

  • If you didn't discover the hinterland on the first date, you can take the initiative to do so today. When you make a tag out of it, you can include a Haleakala Sundown and Star Watching trip. - Discover more of what is under the ocean. Maybe you would like to go to the Maui Ocean Center if you don't come the second morning.

Before you go for a swim or snorkel, always make sure that sea condition is good. - Many of the first-time Hawaiians also want to see Pearl Harbor. - Find more in our article with over 50 things to do and see on Maui. The Iao Valley State is a wonderful parc with a high, lush, needle-like hill.

It is rich in local historical and cultural heritage. The Heritage Gardens in Kepaniwai are located just outside of Iao Needle. The district garden is celebrating the great crops of the plantations. Walking through the historical fishing community of Lahaina is a funny and interesting way to enjoy some quality of life.

Humpbacks come to Hawaii from about mid-December to early January to March and even into April to give birth to mating. The Maui Islands offer extraordinary guided tours of the area. One of the most demanding days of your one-week stay in Maui can be the last one. Spend a savoury buffet breakfasts while enjoying the sea view. Have a last minutes enjoyment of the beaches or pools. Chill out and think about your week-long trip to Maui. When your departure is later in the afternoons or evenings and you want to see more sights and/or pools and/or beach times, you need to come up with a schedule for your baggage.

The route is simple to follow if you are in one of the most important holiday areas of West or South Maui and surroundings. It'?d take a lot more motoring if you were in Hana. Look at our Maui leader. In order to save two entry tickets to Haleakala National Park, you should plan your trip to the top of the Kipahulu area within three workdays.

If you have more or less than seven working nights, you can adjust this route to your own schedule and interests.
