Hawaii The Hawaii Users and Convention Bureau is representing the islands of Hawaii in the fiercely contested field of destinations promotion. Hawaii The Hawaii Visiters and Convention Bureau's vision is to generate sustained, diverse tourism destinations for the islands of Hawaii. This is a public-private partnership: a tourism and general economic association based organisation, state support, island chapters promoting the interests of the various districts and specialised departments focusing on vertical integration.

Fostering recreational and corporate tourism, which includes conferences and congresses, it serves as a catalytic converter for the improvement and expansion of the broad range of products and experience in Hawaii, while at the same time providing commercial opportunity through tourism. The company will be responsible for marketing the Hawaii islands under the patronage of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, which has overall control over the visitors industries for the state.

Statement by George D. Szigeti, President and CEO, Hawai'i Tourism Authority

GNONOLULU - George D. Szigeti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA), made the following announcement regarding today's announcement that a four-year prolongation with the PGA TOUR has been achieved to support three more Champions League tournament play in the HWAWAI. "As the New Year begins, the sporting community will focus its attentions on the fine islands of Hawaii for championships in an incomparable environment.

I' m proud that Hawaii will retain this honour in the next four years until 2022 with the renewing of HTA's formal commercial relationship with the PGA TOUR. "Every January, sport enthusiasts everywhere can rely on Hawaii to be the scenic setting for the Sentry Tournament of Champions on Maui, Sony Open in Hawaii on Oahu and Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai on the Isle of Hawaii.

"Every January, as the cold and freezing winters hit the countryside, we will be celebrating at some of the most stunning Hawaiian greens, with some of the greatest scenery in the underworld. The TV cover provided by the Gulf Channel represents an appealing attraction for projectors to plot a journey to their favourite Isle.

"We' re very thankful to PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan and his whole staff for being such a great and supporting supporter for the state of Hawaii. The new four-year deal is a straight consequence of the PGA TOUR's confidence in Hawaii as a world-class location for the game.
