Billiardaire Larry Ellison to close 97% of hotels in Hawaii for renovation work

Lanai, the comma-shaped island off Maui, is the smallest public island in Hawaii. Both of Ellison's Four Seasons homes are on Lanai, and while the builders are renovating one, they will stay in the other. Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Manele Bay, with 201 rooms, will be closed for at least three month on June 1.

Koele's 102-room Four Seasons Resort Lanai the Lodge, where the workmen live, is scheduled to re-open in the 4thQ15. The only other on the island with 11 rooms, the historical Lanai is about to be the city's only overnight accommodation city. Ellison purchased the motel last year.

L Lori Holland, Director of Public Relations for Four Season Resorts Lanai, spoke about the enhancements, said Road Warrior Voices: If you wish to reserve a room on Lanai for the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016, you should directly call the reservation office, which will take care of the bookings during the re-open.
