In May I spent four overnight stays at the Lanai Four Seasons with my OH. It is impeccably furnished and the personnel is very alert and effective. We had a perfect cleaned and very well furnished room with ventilator, A/C, electrical shutters, balkony, big LCD-TV, bathtub with tub and showers, room safes, coffeemaker and refrigerator.

It is very well furnished with a fitness studio, several swimminpools and nice garden and a brief stroll to a nice bath. It is small in size in terms of the number of rooms, which makes it extremely intimate, luxurious and an unforgettable one. ahalo for pointing out all the peculiarities of our rooms, as well as the exclusiveness of the Resorts - it really is like your own privately owned isle!

U.S. News & World Report ranks at the top of luxury hotels

Following the evaluation of more than 24,000 luxurious properties in the USA, Europe, Canada and Mexico, the U.S. News & World Report has published its yearly " Best Hotel " rankings for 2018. The Four Seasons Lanai in Hawaii took first place in the USA. A Vermont all-inclusive resorts, Twin Farms, and Four Seasons Hualalai in Hawaii finished in places four and five.

Rosewood has been named Canada's best hotels for 2018 last year. Situated in the forests of the Pacific Ocean, the Tofino based Vickaninnish Inn took third place, followed by Wedgewood Hotels & Spa in Vancouver and Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec.

Due to the increasing popularity, the Best Hotel in Europe rankings have been extended by four- and four-point five-star restaurants this year. Ritz Paris came first on the rankings, followed by La Réserve Paris - Hotel and Spa in second place and Rome's recently opened Hotel Eden in third place.

The Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris came 4th, J.K. Place Roma in Rome 5th.
