Best Honeymoon Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii
A stylish Honeymoon on one of these romantical excursions to Hawaii. Hawaii's honeymooning charm is indisputable with its high cliffs, evergreen countryside and broad, crescent-shaped sands. Just like the resorts spread all over the state - and where you decide to spend time, what kind of experience you can have will have an effect.
To get to Oahu's Beach-meets-City-Vibes, for example, you will want to write a message at the famous Waikiki-Beach, near the centre of Honolulu. Or, even better, go to Hawaii (a.k.a. the Big Island). Pairs who want to remain uncompromisingly secluded should remain on Lanai, an almost privately owned isle. Maui is the place to be if you are looking for first-class resorts with all amenities.
Wailea Beach has every type of luxury to budget hotels within easy walk access. Few places can surpass Kauai, known as "the Garden Island" because of its thick rainforest and the tragic coast of Napali.
Whatever destination you decide on, you will not lack great accommodations; here are a few of our favourite resorts and hostels on each of the isles. Situated on the banks of the famed Waikiki Beach, the newest of the resorts bears its name Alohilani - which means "heavenly brightness". Open, breezy rooms with a view of Diamond Head, the chic second storey swimming poolside with an open view of the sea and the bright flavours of Japan in the two top class dining establishments of Masaharu Morimoto, the renowned head cook, make every pair think they've passed away and gone to heaven.
Situated on Lanai-Indonesia, the resort is one of just two possessed by Oracle Billiardär founders Larry Ellison - so you can await top-notch amenities as spacious, contemporary suite, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, an adult - only pool and five inns, featuring outposts of both Nobu and Malibu Farm. Visit this luxurious residence and enjoy the unspoilt sea views, gold sandy beaches and picturesque views of the Hanalei Bay sundowners.
In the 1960s, when US multimillionaire Laurance S. Rockefeller opened Mauna Kea, he probably could not have imagined that Hawaii would become the port of the honeymoon that it is today. Situated on a magnificent half-moon coast, it has its own course created by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.; each of the 252 recently refurbished rooms has a large lanai (Hawaiian for "veranda"); and there are several restuarants offering various dishes based on the island's inspiration.
Several of Hawaiian' s best resorts are situated on the southwest bank of Maui, and this could be his treasure. We owe this to a recent refurbishment that modernized all 383 rooms, added new sun decks by the sea and Missoni-decorated swimming pools, and provided YOLO experience (like a personal cookery meal next to the Serenity adult pool).
There are few resorts in Hawaii that are more Insta-suitable than this showy Kona Kahala Coast resort. As well as being a trunner (we dare to find a more magnificent inflinity pool), the resort is the ideal base for excursions to the island's famous sandy beach, stunning Hilo city market and the famous Kilauea Caldrea Volcano National Park, where the volcano still spits almonds.
Halekulani is truly a "House Befitting Heaven" (the name of the resort in Hawaiian) with its white-on-white decoration, the view of Diamond Head and the first-class spas. It' going to be like this after checking into your apartment with a view of Waikiki Beach. Then have a tasty Hwaiian shellfish meal at La Mer. When you look back on your hibernation at Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, you will find it difficult to choose what you will remember: the orange-pink watercolour sundowns or the whale spotting that float past the sea directly from your room.
Other unforgettable moments: paddling on calm water in the mornings and eating crunchy whole seafood with piquant pofu gravy and sweet pepper lettuce in the Morimoto Restuarant at nocturnal. The west coastline of Oahu was once populated by a group of kings from Hawaii who were looking for the area for its tranquility and serenity.
Eighty per cent of the rooms have sea view, and the adult swimming pools have butler-cared butanas. When you really want to be alone for a while, take the boom boat directly from the bank onto the canal. For a more unique Honeymoon experience, enjoy a personal evening meal at the resort's 1940 old farmhouse, located on a sea view crag.
For example: the award-winning course, bridle paths, free walks, a crescent-shaped sandy spot and several endless swimming pools. Come and play on the beautiful creeks. When thousand-year-old pinks are your colour, the Royal Hawaiian is your holiday destination. The Honolulu is still a powerful Honolulu Spa located on the famous Waikiki Sea, opened in 1927, thanks to modernised accommodation, seaside dining, frequent life concerts and direct acces to para-sailing, cruising catamarans and windsurfing.
Situated on the Maui' s Wailea coastline, this all suites estate never feel overcrowded, even when it' s out of stock. This is because there are several swimmingpools, a broad section of beaches and six different canteens. Wailea offers a driver shuttle bus that will take you anywhere in Wailea if you want to go golfing, snorkeling or strolling around the city.
