How old are the Moai on Easter Island

So how old are the moai on Easter Island?

Quite a long journey a thousand years ago, don't you think? Magic Water Circuit in Lima is fun for children of all ages. It is the place where the moai of Easter can be seen in most advertisements/books.

If the Wonder of the World is the best Moai site on the island - a look back at Rano Raraku, Easter Island, Chile

It is the place where the moai of Easter can be seen in most advertisements/books. Nearly 300 Moai spread on the slope. A definite place to see Moai on Easter Island! It is interesting that the images of the Moai, which one always sees, which are in the stone pit. It' s astonishing to see this moai up-close and thinking that they can be worked out with skirting-tols.

They' re all over the side of the craters. Here you can see the burried moai, which is part of the woodcut. There are still not so many carvings from the caldera that you can see Moai in different states of sculpture. There' s a path into the craters, where there's more moai, but you're confined where you can do it.

The Rano Rarako vulcano is one of the best places on Easter Island, where the world' s greatest moais were hewn into the sand. The town of Rano Rarako is more than 10 kilometres from the town of Hanga Roa. Don't try to stop for long for a photo, don't come near the Moais and go along the path severely or a lady will scream out loud in English "el sendero" and in Hispanic " you will get to play " and then you will see a man on a horses walking around the people.

As Rano Raraku is part of Rapa Nui National Park, you must have/buy the $60-entrance. Situated on the slopes of an ancient vulcano, it is the place where moai were made long ago. We think Rano Raraku and Ahu Tongariki and Ahu Akivi are places not to be left out on Easter Island.....

My favourite place on Easter Island by far, this must be one of the wonder of the earth. This volcano crater's side faces the sea and is dotted with solid mai head formations that make Easter Island known. At the other side is the craters, which also has Moai, it is an easier walk on the lefthand path.

Did you see Rano Raraku?
