This cove is not only breathtaking (like all its coasts and beaches), it is also called Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park, because it was the first place Captain James Cook ended up on the island of Hawaii. There' s only one more sandy stretch of land in the US and only four in the world, making Papakolea Beaches something unique. Punalu'u Blacksandsea.
