Where to Stay in Maui

Accommodation in Maui

Are there luxury hotels near cities? The Seaside Hotels is locally owned with locations in Kona, Hilo and on the island of Maui. You will enjoy the rich experience and the great price when you stay with us. So if you plan to spend most of your time on Maui on the beach, you should stay in West Maui. I'm planning a trip to Maui about a week before Christmas and have a few questions that some of you old Hawaiian hands could help me with:

Visit Maui Travel Tip: Stay on Maui

Maui is a great place to spend the night. The decision where to stay in Maui will depend on your budgets, your wishes and the weathers. Let's begin with a better understand the location of the country, how the areas are split, where the cities are, the general climate on these cities and the conveniences that each city has.

Chapters 5 to 8 often deal with the region and city when I do things and talk about places to dine, so get familiar with the region and city of Maui. The Maui consists of two peninsulas (East and West) connected by a broad canyon. Maui has two large recreational areas - one on the west side and the other on the south side.

More likely if you are planning a leave (especially if it is your first time) pick to stay on one of these two areas so we will begin with those. Western Maui comprises the cities of Lahaina, Kaanapali, Honokawai, Napili, Kahana and Kapalua. It is Maui's "most touristy" side.

There' s nothing against that, although some people like the less touristic side of Maui to get out of the way of the mob. This is my boyfriend Jon, who is writing for www.mauihawaii. org likes the western side (Kaanapali). It is more attractive (lush verdant mountains) and it is very near to Lahaina (funny historical touristic city and boating port).

The Lahaina is a place for boating, walking and exploring. West-Maui also has the best gold rates. Hyatt Regency, Westin, Sheraton, Montage, Kaanapali Beach, Royal Lahaina and Ritz Carlton are some of the big names in the area. The Kaanapali Beach Hotel and Royal Lahaina are cheaper (and less luxurious), but they are renowned for their "Hawaiiana" ambience.

Caanapali was the first intended target on Maui. A few kilometres from Lahaina, this residence has a wonderful, unspoilt sandy beaches, some great snorkelling courses, a Whaler's Village and in the centre of the residence is the Kaanapali Golf Course.

Hyatt Regency, Westin, Sheraton and Kaanapali Beach are important in this area. If you are planning to visit Maui for the first getaway, it is very comfortable to stay in the Kaanapali area because of all the activity. This is Kapalua, 9 leagues from Lahaina.

There are unspoilt sandy shores and three world-class champion course facilities at this world-class destination. Sheila Beal, the proprietor of the renowned website GoVisitHawaii.com, said that Kapalua is one of her favourite places on Maui. The South Maui is the sun city. Cities on South Maui are Maalaea, Kihei, Wailea and Makena.

The largest holiday destination is in Wailea. Although it is the warmest and dries, it is also the most beloved coast on Maui for the" solar worshipper". It is not as touristic as the West Maui area, but can still be overcrowded during the "high season" (November to March) and is perceived by some as too touristic.

The Wailea hotel complex includes the most important luxurious properties such as Grand Wailea, Four Seasons and Andaz, Fairmont Kea Lani and Marriott Wailea. You can also find many luxurious condominiums and mansions to chose from, such as the Wailea Strand Villa and Wailea Elua beaches. The Kihei apartments are still within walk of the sea and many are right on the water.

Maui - Ten Ways to Enjoy the Best Food, Beaches and Location While on Vacation" is written by Paul Brodie, who says Kihei is his favourite city. The most unpopulated and least advanced part of South Maui. Formerly there was a resort named "Makena Beach and Golf Resort", but it has been shut down and will be substituted by a more luxury and exclusivity Makena Beach Club (completion date to be determined).

Examine out Makena Surf Apartments for VRBO and Airbnb. In Makena there is the untouched "Makena Beach", generally known as "Big Beach". The Maalaea is the seaside town near the West Maui border. The whole breeze from the Pacific Hopper between the West Maui Mountains and Haleakala comes out in Maalaea.

A number of boating trips start from here, so you don't have to go to Lahaina for all boating time. As we have been discussing the two areas where the main holiday areas are located, let us take a look at the other regions: Central, Upcountry, North Shore et East Maui. The central Maui cities are Kahului, Waikapu and Wailuku.

OGG, the airfield where you will be landing, is in Kahului. The city Kahului is the trading city Maui. Here you will find Costco, Walmart and Target. The Queen Kaahumanu Mall is also situated here. Besides the shopping centres there are also many neighbourhoods in this city.

Vailuku is the "historical city" and also the place where most state and district offices are located. At Main Street, Wailuku is many souvenir stores like Maui Thing and Native Intelligence. The Wailuku Inn is a favourite (and historic) place to stay. The Maui Tropical Plantation and Kumu Farms are located in Waikapu.

Even where the now famed sunflowers originated on Maui. The Waikapu is a populated area - there are no guesthouses or guesthouses, although there are some rooms for hire in Airbnb. Pukalani, Haliimaile, Makawao and Kula are off the coast, on the mountains, with colder weather and verdant meadows.

The Upcountry is the part of Maui on the side of the Haleakala river valleys. Macawao is a small paniollo city ("Hawaiian Cowboy"). Well, my mother-in-law likes to visit this little city. Pukalani, Haliimaile and Kula - I have put these cities in one pot - mostly housing areas, but for those who want a cooler weather and don't bother if they are far away from the beaches, these cities are great.

It is a small city with a great "character and personality". Up to now tourism has been avoided and it is still largely inhabited by a colourful and eccentrical mixture of folk - connoisseurs of arts, surfing, vegans, many are attracted by the Czech atmosphere.

It is full of picturesque stores, cafés and eateries. Both Paia Bay and Baldwin Beach are also near Hookipa Beach. The Paia Inn is a favourite place to stay, but there are also other Bed and Breakfasts in the area. The Mana is a" go to place" for wholesome eating in this part of the city.

These cities, like Paia, have an eco-atmosphere. Also known as Hippie Town, with cheap rentals via Airbnb and VRBO. Alternatively, you can stay at a more luxury Mama's Fish House Inn near Hookipa Beach. Mama's Fish House is the best place to eat on Maui. Keanae, Hana, Kipahulu - When I talk about accommodation on the East Side of Maui, Travaasa Hana is in my head.

Yes, you can hire different bed and breakfast places if you have a reasonable price, but for honeymoons and for single people who want to enjoy comfort and tranquility, I have advised you to spend additional money and stay in Travaasa Hana.
