The Vanuatu State Online Tourism Booking Portal,'Only in Vanuatu' is launched.

Vanuatu PORT VILA, Vanuatu (Vanuatu Daily Post, 04 March 2017) - The Minister of Tourism, Joe Natuman, launches today on Tanna the first state website for bookings for online tourism "Only in Vanuatu". There has never been a better time for such good tidings for bungalows in Vanuatu. Vanuatu's first reservation gateway will promote tourism for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) on the 83 islands of Vanuatu.

Natuman said in his speech: "The Vanuatu Department of Tourism has been working for many years on developing products with tourism MSMEs (mainly ni-Vanuatu) tourism companies. "This is a key part of the Ministry of Tourism's missions and the work so far has focused primarily on education, capability build and certification and all related political and regulative work.

"Recently, work has been expanded to the Vanuatu Tourism Ambassador Programme, which focuses on regional transportation companies and uses a New Zealand sponsored collaborative Discovery Trailsject. Vanuatu makes a great jump forward," Natuman continued. "We' re launching the first on-line reservation site that belongs to the South Pacific to assist small businesses across the South Pacific.

"Its final objective is to establish a sustainable and prosperous MSME tourism industry. "This will not only provide much needed employment for the community, but will also lead to a completely new tourist enjoyment for travelers, which has so far been largely concealed and not accessible to them.

Vanuatu Tourism says that 415 government-financed sites will be constructed for small businesses across Vanuatu and all these sites will be added to the Vanuatu reservation site. "We' re going to offer tourists a one-stop shopping experience to search all of Vanuatu in one place on the web and also the touristic opportunities to see one of the 83 islands of Vanuatu.

"The sites created for small businesses are very reactive (mobile friendly), which is very important as over 60% of all searches for trips are done on mobiles. "Furthermore, the web pages load quickly, have link and share options for online publishing, share, photo galeries, Googleaps, livecon.

"These pages are simple to refresh, simple to supplement and above all conceived for small and medium-sized enterprises with functions such as tool tips and automatic picture size adjustment. "We have all counties represented on the reservation platform and our goal is to provide every small Vanuatu carrier with a website and a reservation engine," he said.

The' Only in Vanuatu' website will advertise the small Vanuatu city. Launched, the site will be able to handle immediate on-line reservations for small businesses using the reservation machine and will also make available to the Ministry of Tourism information on requests, reservations and on-line search.

Work on creating web sites for small businesses in two counties has been finalised. As soon as their sites are online, the Ministry of Tourism says it will inform small businesses and assist them with inquiries, reservations and promotion, and all work will still be transferred to other states.

The" Only in Vanuatu" programme will be an on-line house for small, middle and very small businesses, especially for accommodation companies, tour operator, transport companies and craft businesses. It is being sold in 58 different markets worldwide and is also being sold within luxury liner and airline companies. Commenting in his concluding speech, the Minister of Tourism expressed his thanks to the diligent members of the Ministry of Tourism, the Vanuatu Tourism Office, for their dedication to bringing small businesses on-line, as it will strongly encourage the personal endeavours of the business owners, but above all will allow the small business owners access to the markets.

Only in Vanuatu' is also added to the TripAdvisor reservation platform, and the Ministry of Tourism says that provisions have already been made.
