During the Women's Rugby World Cup 2014, she made a name for her tough run and abrasives in the test games. Oneata in Melbourne is playing Unicorns for the Melbourne and has a large number of members of the Melbourne Rugby community who have been playing rugby at the highest levels, among them her sibling John Schwalger, who had two test hats for New Zealand.

Due to injuries Schwalger could not participate in the latest New Zealand trip, but expects a complete overhaul.

The Oneata Schwalger is hoping to enter the NRLW début seasons before the end of this year.

For the 32-year-old Oneata Schwalger, it's the chance of a life. Schwalger began to play in New Zealand at the age of 12. It was when she joined the Premier league four years ago when she relocated to Melbourne. She was Australia's representative at the NRLW but is even more enthusiastic about the chance to play at the NRLW.

"Australia is speeding up women's chances and I want to make the most of it while I've been in my final years of playing," Schwalger said. "It' s kind of difficult to move my folks just for a football, so it will be more like a world championship," she said.
