Fiji Islands Travel

A tropical paradise: One-week tour for Fiji Islands Vinaka Bula is the sentence that welcomes you when you arrive in Fiji for the first ashore. We' re working on Fiji at the moment - slowly and simply, the sentries at the airfield tell us. We didn't know that this kind of elevating power and the continuous sensation of the hot and clear waters surrounding us would be lulling us to Fiji for the next fourteen days!

In this republic of 333 islands the speed of living is slow and luck seems to be the mantra. It' Fiji really calms the mind. We' ve had a great deal of experience in Fiji as we've been there for almost 2 whole days, but we think that a whole weekend is just for you.

In Viti Levu, the biggest of the islands, we recommend a 2-3 week stay and a 3-4 week long tour around the small Fiji Islands to discover lonely shores, small towns and some of the most beautiful snorkeling and dives. Located in the picturesque Outrigger Fiji beach, the hotel's Bebe Spas are just what you are looking for.

This was followed by a tradional Foijian Bóbo massages with linseedoel. However, we did love the Ivi Restaurant in Outrigger Fiji. It is one of the best in Fiji and has received many awards. First, we began with their typical Fiji Kokoda (marinated Mahi-Mahi filet in combination with chopped onion, cucumbers, tomato, spice and homemade curd led by coconuts) and BBQ King Prawns.

Vid had the typical stand of sheep grated with typical Filipino herbs for the entree, while I had her wooly white snappers on a curried cot of crème de coco, prawn and yams. The meal was prepared with Fiji Cassava crisps - no! This was one of our favorite dishes in Fiji.

We definitely suggest a visit to the Ivi Restaurant for a delicious dinner, even if you spend the night elsewhere on the Isle. In any case, if you choose to spend 2-3 nights in Viti Levu, you will want to discover the isle. A number of daily excursions are available in the area, among them zip-lining excursions, daily excursions to islands close by, walks and walk.

While we tried a few days out in Fiji, the one we liked the most was the Sigatoka River Safari. This thrilling jetboat trip will take you into the interior and give you the opportunity to explore the true Fiji Islands. On our trip we went to a small Filipino community named Nalebaleba through a precipitous mud path.

One of the best ways to see a whole host of small Fiji islands and awaken to a new shore every dail... is by cruising around the Fiji Islands. Fiji's cruisers are not comparable to Mediterranean or Carribean cruisers. They are much smaller so that they can see the smallest islands of the island group.

We first foretasted cruises with Captain Cook and we liked the casual, private way of traveling - the smaller dimensions of the ship give our guests the opportunity to make many goodies. It is possible to choose a 3-4 days trip to the Mamanuca Islands (pronounced Mamanutha), a group of 20 beautiful sandy islands surrounded by beautiful water within the Z-barrier Riff.

Choosing a Mamanuca Island tour means breathtaking shores, pristine Fiji tradition and beautiful panoramic views. Alternatively, you can choose a 3-4 days Yasawa Island tour. Every brief trip provides the ideal start to Fiji's culture: from a tour of the town to a choir, from visiting schools to the Lovo festival, from the Meke dance to water sports, everything is on the programme.

Contrary to other catamarans, all trips are including. On Monuriki Iceland we adored Tom Hanks' Castaway; Monu Iceland, an enchanting scenic destination; the Blue Lagoon and innumerable other small islands in the Fiji Islands. Fiji's absolute sensation islands.

Everyday the ship moors on a new isle. It has a wealth of culture and is a good place to learn about the local people. Capt. Cook's Cruise offered several ways to taste cava, a slightly exhilarating beverage from the roots of the mint. Make sure you attend Meke, a singing and dancing party staged by Fijians.

And if you like to get to know the locals cuisine, a Fijian Lovo festival is a must. Cruising gives you the opportunity to do so. Try foods made in a Lovo, an underground furnace coated with heat-resistant masonry. While we tried many foods and veggies at the Lovo festival organized by Captain Cook, two of our favorite foods were Palestine (packages of sheets of tea containing coir milk) andalo.

Fiji is one of the most distant islands in the underworld. There are a number of small Fiji islands that are home to luxurious hotels ideal for honeymoons. Attempt to participate in a Kava ceremony and try a Lovo festival in Fiji. Stay 2-3-night in Viti Levu before going on a boat trip.

Capt. Cook Creises offers a great way to discover Fiji culture: everything from visiting the villages to going to school, from Lovo dancing to Meke dancing and snorkelling to scuba-diving, is on the program. Select between a Mamanuca Island or Yasawa Island tour. We' ve tried both and we' ve seen many people who have decided to spend 1 weeks on the ship and have combined both of them.

Ensure you go snorkeling and scuba diving in Fiji. Have a look at all our cruises here! The Fiji Tourist Board visited us in Fiji. We' ve seen many different events and adventures on the islands and decided to post about our top-favorites.
