Lutheran Church Missouri Synod began in 1978 with the financial support of the Lutheran Church of Guam, an autonomous Lutheran parish in Anigua, Guam. It was founded in the end of the 1950' by the famous Lutheran soldier centre founded by the famous Edmund Kalau. The Lutheran Church of Guam was founded when the centre was shut down in 1969.

Lutheran Church of Guam is a parish that joins the Lutheran Congregations for Christ. Generally, this church serves the local overseas church in the region and offers English service and companionship to the many expats from Northern America in their mother tongue. America's Forward Fortress in Asia Pacific

In the last phase of the Second World War, Japan was eventually beaten by the Mariana islands as the starting point for the projections of force into the Japanese war. Guam, the principal isle, and its northerly sisters Saipan and Tinian, were the turntable from which the US armed services moved north to Japan.

Guam, Saipan and Tinian served as base points, from which over 500,000 forces and about 1,500 vessels were prepared for their deployment in Okinawa. From those isles, the U.S. B-29 launched bomb attacks on Japonese towns and the Enola Gay began its nuclear bomb disposal operation on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

As in World War II, the US soldier should pull out all its overseas troops in the Asia-Pacific area, and go back to Guam and possibly the Mariana Islands, which are the land of the United States, and make them their operational centre. From Guam, we can continue to sustain a strategically important defence base and use our armed forces deeply in Asia to safeguard America's essential interests in international goodwill and territorial stalem.

It will be close but far enough away from Asia to do so.
