Where is the International date line Located

Which is the International Date Line?

It is an arbitrary place chosen for the International Date Line; its location is a matter of convenience and has no connection with anything in nature. A map showing the geographical location of the International Date Line. Locate the International Date Line on a map and search for other weather locations. The problem is that it has moved a lot lately and now does not run through any land masses except Antarctica.

Molmol Kingdom of Love Hina is listed on the International Date Line.

The International Date Line: Definitions, History & Location - Video & Minutes

There' s a line on earth that makes you want to alter the day you do it. Learn what the International Date Line is, how it affects the timezones on both sides and how we chose to do it. Where is the International Date Line?

Do you know that there is a place on earth where you can go back in may? Okay, not really going back in-- but it' almost the same. If you exceed the International Date Line, the date changes. You probably realized that different places on Earth have different eras.

When someone in New York and another in California are on the telephone, the times are different for everyone. Three-hour difference, to be precise. Because New York and California are in different timezones. There is always sunshine on a part of the world.

Timezones are a way of making the light of day approximately the same for everyone so that the light of day comes up in the mornings and goes down in the evenings, no matter where one lives (with a few exemptions, but we won't take care of it). It is subdivided into discs that run from terminal to terminal, like an orangery.

Those fictive contours that separate these discs are known as longitudes. Everything that is orbital, like a ball, can be subdivided into 360-degree. It is a globe and can therefore be subdivided into 360 identical sheaves. We' re giving timezones their own 15 degree latitude. When you use mathematics, 360 split by 15 is 24, so there are a whole of 24 different timezones.

24-hour a day, 24 timezones. Now, someday you're gonna have to restart, and here it gets a little strange. When travelling around the whole globe, you finally arrive at a line in which you jump one whole days forwards or backwards. Of course, you don't really move through the clock, but the date changes, like the one you would in a diary.

First we' re going to Hawaii. It would be 9:00 on Thursday night, 12 hrs before the current Hawaiian hour. You' re in over 12 timezones. Well, let's go on to New Zealand, where you have almost the same disc that Hawaii is in, and it's actually 9am on Friday the next night!

Main meridian (red line in the middle) and the International Date Line (red line on the right). Note that it does not exactly trace the 180 degree line. Between Hawaii and New Zealand there is a line named International Date Line. It is an fictive line that goes from the North Pole to the South Pole and divides one date from the next.

In some places the places are directly next to each other by a whole days from each other sing. A long ago, researchers determined that a specific meridian line in Greenwich, England, is used to calculate it. The line is known as the supreme meridian. It is located half way around the globe from the main meridian and follows the 180 degree long line.

The route goes down the Pacific, between Alaska and Russia and between Hawaii and New Zealand.
