Hometown of the Scenic Battle River Valley

Forestburg village is about 80 km from Camrose. Picturesque Battle River Valley is just 20km from the city and boasts a stunning scenery and a wide range of leisure activities. The village is proud to be home to the Battle River railroad, which serves farming and tourist purposes in the area.

Forestburg village is situated about 80 km in southeastern Camrose with 875 inhabitants. It' a brief ride just to the south of Killam on Highway 13 and just south of Highway 36. Picturesque Battle River Valley is just 20km from the city and boasts a stunning scenery and a wide range of leisure activities.

With the Battle River railroad, the village is proud to be home to the region's agricultural and tourist industry, which is why the village is home to a number of important parts of the community's heritage, including collieries, farming and railways. The inhabitants of the Waldburg have a pleasant atmosphere and a great deal of arrogance towards their municipality, as the many lovely farms and well-kept houses and outbuildings show.

We are proud to be a former national winner of the Bloom Communities contest. In Forestburg, there is an interesting mixture of leisure and culture activities as well as corporate service. Waldburgmuseum is situated on the main road, in a Masonic temple from 1927, which was renovated by the Historical Society of Waldburg. To the south of the city on Highway 855 is the Diplomat Mine Interpretive Site - Canada's only open-cast mine muse.

In this interpretation center is one of the biggest portable agricultural machinery from 1927. Please highlight your calendar for the next year from 3 to 5 August 2019 for the centenary of the Forestburg! The open-air swimming baths in the Forestburg are open from May to September. If you want to enjoy more outdoors, the city has a course and two campsites.

The other campsites in the area are the Battle River Crossing Resort & Campground and the Big Knife Provincial Park, both in the Battle River Valley.
