It was the best resort where we had the privilege of staying. The Taveuni Island Resort is the best resort we have ever visited. Vic & Do, the owner, together with all the great and nice employees, make you welcome. Dining is totally nice, along with the well-tended garden, and the Boers have everything and more, the biggest one we were in.

Taveuni Beach Resort's mansions are something very unique. Both are detached buildings in a broad verdant grass and many have a slightly elevated sleeping area that allows you to enjoy the views no matter where you are in the mansion at any anytime. Awakening to the views is a day-to-day enjoyment.

The villas are spacious with high, arched ceiling, romantically canopy bedding, a living room that merges almost smoothly into spacious porches, and this magnificent look. The night rate includes all food and our clients mix with the food - especially during the evening dinner. The Taveuni Island Resort & Spa is a luxurious, one-hour fly from Nadi.

Inclusive rates for 7 overnight stays. At Taveuni Island Resort & Spa, all of our mansions are located in beautiful lush tropic garden on a high plateau above the Somosomo Road. Grande Matalau is a 2 bed room mansion in the middle and the other type of mansions are either to the right or south of Matalau.

Luxurious Ocean Front Villas are just that - right by the ocean, with stunning, unspoiled ocean and island overlooks. The Luxury Ocean View Villas are either a little further back with ocean view between the Luxury Ocean Front Villas, or with a view of the large outdoor area.

This single Luxury Garden Vue Villa would have once been classified as an Ocean Vue Villa with a seaview between two Oceanside Villas on the doorstep, but the tropic garden has increased in altitude so that the seaview is now screened - therefore the Garden Vue catagory was created.

Over 100m2 in area, all have the same standards of equipment and amenities and are situated for maximal intimacy. Each villa has a large verandah that blends in perfectly with the living room. If you live in Villa Matalau, you will have your own head cook and your own people. There is a road in front of Villa Matalau leading down to a quiet sandy secluded spot, ideal for an informal barbecue for two.

The resort is conveniently situated to Matei International and only 13 km from Taveuni's capital Somosomo. With up to four 60-minute daily departures between Nadi and Taveuni's Matei International Park, Taveuni Island Resort & Spa is relatively simple to reach.

You will be picked up at Matei Airport and taken by resort car to the resort, which is only 2 km away. A trip on the "Reef Endeavour" from Port Denarau to Taveuni via Northern Viti Levu, then to the old capitol of Fiji - Levuka on the island Ovalau, then to Savu Savu and its nice Big Bay in the south of Vanua Levu, before it goes to Taveuni to be picked up there and brought to the resort which is about 12 km away.
