We' been there four of the time, and it's our favourite place in Fiji. There are 14 Bureas offering a selection of tree houses with private bedrooms and whirlpool, seafront and sea views. We snorkelled off the shore in front of our Boer every single second. There is a snorkel trip to various cliffs around the islands every mornings.

In my view, the village/school trip is a must. The thing we like Matangi the most is that we can do as much or as little as we want. At the beginning of May 2006 we remained in Maravu for five nights, buying a parcel. After our disappointment at Aitutaki we went full pension for the meal, and were anxious after our disappointment at Aitutaki early in the journey. We had a tour to the falls, horse back rides and some other things we skipped. It was a rewarding journey.

Apropos Moorea, our next journey will be the Sofitel, I didn't like the Pearl either, but Moorea is the most wonderful place I've ever seen.

Maravu has no child allowance, but the tree house must be at least 12 years old. Rack prices are all per head / per day in US dollars incl. American Breakfast, transfer from/to Matei Airstrip, free resorting. The free of charge acitivities are horse back rides, Mountainbikes, Kayaks, Snorkeling, Plantation Hikes, Story Telling, Kava Ceremonies several nights aweek and Entertainment with our house band, once a week meat (Fijian song and dance).

Honeymoon Deluxe Suite prices include a honeymoon package comprising a full package including a glass of bubbly of champagne, orchard hamper, two sulus (Fijian skirts), a tour to Honeymoon Island and a half days tour to the Bouma Falls. Oceanview Spa Villa prices include a spa package including two Maravu bathrobes, two Maravu massage (25 min each), two classic Fiji head skin massage (15 min each) and two Pure Fiji massage treatments (25 min each).

A Treehouse Pack including two Maravu massages (25 min each), two Sulus (Fijian skirts), a half days excursion to the Bouma Falls and a half days West Coast tour is included in the price of The Treehouse.
