The Citutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort

"Aitutaki Lagoon Private Iceland Resort says about itself: Aitutaki Lagoon Private Iceland ResortA long, small headland meanders from the Aitutaki Lagoon to the southeast at the north tip of Aitutaki's isle. There is a small pass at the end known as the Ootu (Full Moon) Canal and on the other side of this pass is the lovely Akitua Isle, the site of the Aitutaki Lagoon Private Iceland Resort.

The Akitua Iceland is a perfectly small tropic isle for a holiday town. Entrance to the isle is by means of a resortship, which can run between the lobby and " The Landing " on the continent. What a laguna! If you are just a little bit of an adventurer, you can organize a wrapped pick nick luncheon, snatch a sea canoe, and canoe out to one of these islets for a nice, recreational and romantic picnic. There are several smaller islets in the lake that are convenient to the resort and if you are just a little bit a little adventureier, you can organize a packed pick nick luncheon, snorkel and canoe...

Flying Boat Beach Bar and Grill has a top level above the Laguna for dinners and snack at sundown. As a rule, the week-long "Legends of Polynesia" Island Show takes place next to the water. Excursions to the more remote, inhabited and unspoilt archipelago are part of every visit to Aitutaki Lagoon Resort.

Except for the fabulous Te Arau Royal Honeymoon Villa, which is completely surrounded by a bricked-in exotic gardens, every chalet has a glimpse of the Full-Moon Channel or the iconic Aitutaki Lagoon. And if you want to spend a little longer, you can discover everything Aitutaki has to show you on bikes that are free to use on the continent.

Throughout the years, a number of small resort and other tourism establishments have evolved into a clusters that is very practical for The Landing, so there is also the possibility of exploring on a little more. At the end of 2012, the entire resort underwent a $2 million upgrading and makeup. Reception/lobby, restaurants, beach chapel and beachfront gazebos are now perfect places for all-day sunbaths and candlelight dinner.

Wi-Fi is now available everywhere. It has always been a good place to stay, but you should see it now! Beachfront bungalows end just before the start of the long, sand dunes that rise into the Laguna, where the Flying Boat Beach Bar and Grill are situated on the other (outer) side of the islands with a view over the entire Laguna.

Nearer to the main complex but still on the outside of the islands and very practical to the camp site are the 5 Deluxe Beachfront Bungalows, followed by the 7 Overwater Bungalows, from whose porches the visitors can directly dive into the camp site. All Beachfront Bungalows were brought up to the same standards as the Premium Beachfront Bungalows in 2012.

Perfect Bungalows:Absolute beach front, Deluxe Bungalows are over 70m2 in area. So you have an undisturbed view of the lake from the living room as well as from the beds. At the 2012 resort, the baths in the Deluxe beach front bungalows were tripled, with a private romantically designed wall-mounted outside showers and the incorporation of contemporary "His and Hers" washbasins.

BungalowsMagic! Above water balows here are not the kind reached by a long jetty over the lake; these above water balows are directly accessible from the lands. Whilst the bedrooms and lounge areas are above the sea, their multi-storey ceilings are directly above the shallow water depth.

All of these 90 m2 chalets have a nice porch, which has a straw canopy and is open for sunbathing on the other side. There is a lower level with 7 levels and a small step from the lower level for easy entry to the Laguna (most divers just dive directly from the lower deck!).
