Bodies: The bright colours of the bluish and cyan waters and the legendary surface bungalow are captivating on the way down to Bora Bora Bora Bora, an isle in French Polynesia, just a few hrs to Hawaii. Though Bora Bora, with its picturesque surroundings, is known for attracting honeymoons, it is quickly becoming a place where younger people are also welcome, especially during the holidays, as my family did last year.

Above-sea bungalow, dive and Turtle Center in Le Meridien are three good ways for Tahitians to set their holiday radars. Le Meridien's above-water bungalow will please you as soon as you step onto the bottom of the window, where you can see the floatingish. Stylishly adorned in Polynesian fashion with Romanesque mosquitonets, the patio door opens to clear, tranquil, warm blue waters and a breathtaking view of the craggy remains of a luxuriant old vulcano.

The three teenagers were enjoying jumping into the waters from their own bungalows next to them and swim among the freshwater fishing in one of the most gorgeous camps. Recently we have been Open Waters Divers accredited (children as young as 10 years old can be Junior Open Waters Divers certified), so we were looking for a dive site that promises great marine livelihood.

I was not disappointed by Bora Bora; the TopDive Resort offered my family the best scuba training ever as her scuba divers are professionally, funny and patience inspired my 18 year old to take his scuba skills to the next stage. Swim with shark and mantas was an unforgetable family time!

Another benefit for children/adolescents in Le Meridien is the imposing environmental centre devoted to the conservation and recovery of tortoises. She was privileged to swim with the tortoises as a "healer" and to support the personnel in caring and nourishing them. Leaving Bora Bora, probably the most wonderful place I have ever seen, with some of my favourite family recollections.
