Kadavu's southerly coastline is frequently hit by waves from the southerly Pacific, especially in the May to October winters. We have no resort or camp on the isolated Kadavu southwest shore. You will be recompensed with empty occupations, a wonderful landscape, an unforgettable culture adventure and a gold medal for other outdoor pursuits such as snorkelling, spearfishing and walking.

Kadavu's most inverted stop is at the westernmost point of the southwest coastline, King Kong. There was a windsurf resort near the small island of Nagigia until recently, but it is currently off. In order to sail the Kadavu coastline, you will need to make the best of the local people, get a surfing permit and arrange for a reasonable rate for food, lodging at home and entry to the riffs.

Groups requiring a fixed rate for these precautions should consult the Kadavu-based kayak operator Tamarillo Active Travel. Nearer to the resort in the northeast of Kadavu are the riffs of Soso, Nacamoto, Korolevu, Vesi and Naiqoro. They are not specialized windsurfing schools in this area, but they are looking forward to your request and give you the information you need.

Former Nagigia Surf Resort opened in April 2000 next to one of the best surf sites in Fiji, and there are also good opportunities for snorkelling and ocean angling.

Resort management has agreed an exclusivity contract with the local wind and water management in the Kadavu area. Fiji's clan controls the right to fish on its coral and many of them also take possession of surf break and charge windsurfers a day.

Mt. Washington (Nabukelevu) on Kadavu, directly opposite Nagigia, is a day-long challenge (for a fee).
