On one of his three years ago Dr. Ravi Pillai went on a trip to a favourite London based Indian food place. It was so overwhelming by the flavour and presenting of India's cooking that he wanted to see the cook. Suresh Pillai was presented to the cook and to his astonishment they found out during the interview that they were both from Chavara, Kollam.

It was their joint commitment to pass on the best of their knowledge and experiences to Kerala and other Keralites. The chef had some private obligations and accepted to join this joint cause, which he appreciated undercover. Suresh Pillai has returned to his home country after 3 years to travel with us again.

The Raviz Resort in Ashtamudi is an ideal place to spend the night right on the shores of Ashtamudi. Kerela Ayurveda Spa was astonishing, the therapists are very experienced and the applied treatments were all from Ayurveda plants and it was very relaxed and very serene. Every vacation I come to India I look for a place and I am looking for a place that provides extraordinary services, and although this was my first stay at Raviz in Ashtamudi, the Indian way of life, the respect of the people, the excellent food and the services prove that India is the best place to stay and I am very pleased with my selection.

Guy who have seen different 5-star labels like Marriot/ Hilton/ Hayatt/ Le Meridian . we-car.ch was really uncomfortable and would never want to go back.... we remained in the outbuilding and not in the central house and around the clock there was a very nasty odor (God knows what the odor was), even the hallways on our floors had the same sting.... it was almost not possible to get out of the room without a make-up or nasal protection, which is least anticipated from a 5-star house.

There is an exceptional view of the surrounding area with sea view around and inside the resort and an abundance of birdlife. Eating was costly for no good cause, they had to repair it because the menus themselves were poorly administered, there were no quadratic dinners and the prices for the entrées were the same. ?A well-run establishment in the immediate vicinity of the town of Kollam.

The toilet was damaged and kept us alert.... The personnel never made us think we were welcome.
