There has been a revival in Dublin. Dublin, the Republic of Ireland's main town, is an intimate place that is easily explored. Walk past St. Stephen's Green or visit the grey stony facades of Trinity College, Ireland's oldest school. It is also in remarkable condition - every year on 16 June scientists follow the trails of James Joyce's figures in the novel "Ulysses", which takes place in Dublin on 16 June 1904.
The city of Dublin has a rich historical past. St. Patrick's Cathedral was erected in honour of the Irish protector and is the biggest cathedral in Ireland. It' s said to be one of the first places of Christianity in Ireland where St. Patrick was baptised. The Trinity College is Ireland's oldest college and one of the world's major colleges.
The Trinity College Library is home to the Book of Kells. There are over 1,000 bars and several hundred kinds of beer in Dublin. St. James's Gate Brewery, a Dublin based brasserie established by Arthur Guinness in 1759, is now Stout's biggest one. Guinness Storehouse is Ireland's number one tourist magnet and recounts the history of "black stuff".
The Dublin Castle is one of the oldest preserved buildings in the town, with its record-breaking thirteenth c. towers and the state apartments that were once the seat of the British vice-church. Malahide Castle was home to the Talbots from 1185 to 1973. Today it is one of the oldest and most historical palaces in Ireland.
Glendalough is called a convent in a spectral nature scenery, Lonely Planet Ireland "really one of the most wonderful places in Ireland and a high point of every journey to the island". One of the most scenic manors in Ireland, the site has the highest waterfalls in Ireland. Situated near Navan in the county of Meath, this small business is situated in the centre of Ireland's wealthy pasture.
