Poohnpei Micronesia

Its capital is Palikir on the island of Pohnpei, while Weno is the largest city in the Chuuk Atoll. The fertile soil and the heavy rainfall lead to lush tropical foliage, and the island was called the "Garden of Micronesia". One of the four states of Micronesia, Pohnpei is the capital of the Federated States of Micronesia. Pohnpei, formerly Ponape, vulcanic isle with high cap of corals, east Caroline Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, west Pacific. The Pohnpei is approximately quadratic; it is well irrigated and undulating (to Dolohmwar, 791 meters above sealevel ) and is encircled by a barriere with many small islands.

The rich soils and the strong rainfalls lead to lush leaves, and the islands was described as the "Garden of Micronesia". Near Pohnpei are the low-lying Oroluk, Pakin and Ant Korallenatolle in the western part, Ngatik, Nukuoro and Kapingamarangi in the southwestern part and Mokil and Pingelap in the eastern part.

The majority of the reefs are covered with forest and carry cocos. Other than the Polynesians of Nukuoro and Kapingamarangi, the population of the isle and its surroundings are Micronesians. Nan Madol, or Nanmadol, a group of 92 artifical platforms constructed in the Laguna and encircled by man-made channels, lies in the Pohnpei East Coastline of Pohnpei Lake.

One of the remains of a city and the early 2000s ceremony center are the graves of former monarchs who, according to traditions, belonged to the Sau Deleur family, which once dominated the entire Isle. In the aftermath of the First World War, Japan was given a seat on Micronesia under the League of Nations, and Pohnpei became one of the administration centers. Pohnpei's Japan military was circumvented by the Allies during the Second World War and insulated from capitulation. It was part of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands from 1947 until the United Nations Trust Territory was dissolved in 1986.

The Pohnpei company supplies a large range of tropic produce, which includes cocoa, bread fruit, cocoa, potato peel and cocoa. It has an Aiport and is the seat of the College of Micronesia-FSM.
