Samoa New Estate Opens, Creates 180 Jobs

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (Radio New Zealand International, 5 July 2016) - A new $60 million Samoa facility has opened, partially financed by the Papua New Guinea Lamana Group. The Taumeasina Island Resort's General Manager, Nathan Bucknall, said that 180 full-time employees were on the pay roll to take 340 people.

"It is very special for Samoa and I think also for some parts of the South Pacific. We are an island five mins from the Samoa capitol, Apia," said Mr Bucknall. Samoan Prime Minister Tu'ilaepa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi greeted the start and said that a tourist centre on the island had been in planning for 45 years.

It' s important to be a troubleshooter, a great organiser and the capacity to multitask and prioritise, as well as to handle the general'island mentality' of a Pacific island and Samoa. We' re looking for an expert GENERAL MANAGEMENT COUPLE with the right attitude to provide a great value proposition and ensure a seamless and prosperous work.

Tasks included customer service, visitor and resource activity, resource and boating services, eating and drinking, home economics, landscape design, accounting and management, personnel supervision/management, personnel planning, general day-to-day management related to the operation of the area. One of the most important tasks is to ensure a great visitor event and the guests' contentment.

Mostly interested in pairs, with a backdrop in hotel business and, preferably, small, select homes. All of the vacancies on offer are comprised of the entire Fiji property manager, which means that the property is fully owned and operated in Fiji.
