The Fiji air transport market: The Fiji Airways A330 expands the A330 and upgrades the 737s. Must warrant the cover

With the purchase of a fifth wide-body airplane, Fiji Airways accelerates its growth. In mid-2018, the carrier is planning to take over another A330-200 so that it can fly to Tokyo Narita in July 2018. After Hong Kong, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Singapore, Narita will be Fiji Airways' fifth long-haul destinations.

Fiji Airways also plans to expand its capacities on the Fiji Airways regional and middle distance networks in the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019, as Fiji Airways will replace its five 737NGs with five 737 MAX 8s with higher densities. For 2018 the carrier anticipates an 8 to 10 percent increase, for 2019 an even higher one.

Fiji's tourist sector will profit from this, as Fiji Airways already represents more than 70% of Fiji's global airspace.
