I' m trying to find the best place to buy beads - Tahiti or Bora Bora? I' ve been reading the ratings for Tahiti and Bora Bora food stalls. Is one generally better priced or has a better choice than the other? I' d like to buy a pearl necklace. But I wondered if an isle had more business/better discount/better selections.

If I do some research on beads before I buy most anything I buy, I know that appreciate for more than I was paying for them. I' ve found the best prizes in Moorea. Bora Bora has a store next to the restaurant MaiKai, which offers very reasonable rates for highclass beads.

Thank you for your response Jacqui, but I am not going to visit Moorea-only Tahiti, BB and Tetiaroa. I' m choosing Bora Bora. Vaitape has many stores and the design and stock are personal. Buying my "big" rope from Madame Champon in Tahaa, I got a much better value for money than I've seen it on strings all over Tahiti.

However, I like Bora Bora for the variety of one-of-a-kind styles and almost entirely purchased different items there. However, if you are only looking for one line and not for a designer item, the Tahitian price is better than BB.
