Getting to Gibson's BC

Coming from Vancouver, head to Horseshoe Bay and take BC Ferries to Langdale. Long stay car parks are available at Horseshoe Bay in the multi-storey car park at the Fährterminals, at Impark Park sites outdoors and at the Lions Club car park opposite the Gleneagles course (in summers there is a shuttleservice from the car park to the ferry).

When you get out of your vehicle and run on the boat, you don't have to be worried about occupants and overloading. The Pacific FerriesCoastal Clipper can accommodate up to 46 guests and provides a day cruise between Horseshoe Bay and Gibsons from Monday to Friday. From Vancouver a round voyage to the Sunshine Coast will cost about $30.

You can drive from downtown Vancouver to Gibsons in two hour periods at the most. Transshipment from downtown Vancouver via Translink is $4.00 each way (via the 257 Horseshoe Bay Express or 250 Horseshoe Bay routes), the pedestrian boat is $16.15 and the Sunshine Coast transit coach is $2.00.

It' only $2 more to get your bicycle on the boat, so why not? There are no additional charges and all BC Transit busses are fitted with bicycle stands. The Sunshine Coast offers world-class routes for mountaineers on the hillsides of Mount Elphinstone, just above the Langdale shipping station.

Please note: Each transport coach can only carry two bikes, so that waiting periods may occur at any time. Harbor Air operates flights directly from Vancouver Harbour, Vancouver Airport (YVR) and Nanaimo Harbour to Sechelt. The Sunshine Coastline Air operates flights between Sechelt and Nanaimo Harbour every day. In Sechelt you can take a coach or cab to other places on the shore or hire a car.
