Luv and Leeward: Sites of the islands

Each of Hawaii's islands has a lee side and a windward side. On the lee side it faces south or west and is warm, arid and sun-sound. Windward side facing north or east, medium, luxuriant and verdant. As the lee side has less precipitation, it is less verdant. Now, think of the shore.

On the windward side are most of the falls and the luxuriant jungles. When your holiday is all about the sea, the leeward side is for you..... and the climate control is a true plus. As the windward side is receiving the trade winds, it is colder. When your accommodation is not air-conditioned, it is because it is not needed.

On the windward side, the best of both worlds. It' the best of both worlds. Now. There are more clouds and occasionally rains, but most precipitation falls at nights. Think about what you want to do first, and then decide whether it's the lee or the wind for you. The other side of the Hawaiian peninsula is never far away.
