Snorkelling Oahu

The Hanauma Bay Marine Life Conservation District is located on the eastern side of the H-1. The Waikiki Marine Life Conservation District is located near the aquarium. Easily accessible from Queen's Strand, but with snorkelling on the lefthand side towards Natatorium. The Sans Souci is just behind Waikiki. Right behind the Aquarium & Natatorium is the san Sans Souci bath. Excellent snorkeling to the right.

The Waikiki is ideal for snorkelling, but snorkelling is limited; no corals & no cliffs = no shelter. It' good body boarding. Notify the guardhouse that you are going to the shore and snorkeling in one of the 4 protected bays. The Electric is the first one on the shore.

Beautiful coral cliff along the top. Papaone Beach is further on 93 1/4 miles after 7-11. Walk along Lahilahi St & parking edge through the condos - beach entrance is between them. Snorkelling in for whitish sands, lots of pisces and clear waters. Not a lifesaver, but many other people.

Macaha Park is further out 93. The Makai Research Pier is located 5.1 leagues behind Hanauma Bay and travels on the 72 eastward. Parking and snorkelling on the western side of the pier - entry and exit from the shore. This is a real life dive with lots of fishing. The Lanikai is a good place for snorkelling and swim.

The entrance to the sea is between the houses. The Malaekahana Bay State Park (Goat Island) is 83, 24.1 leagues northbound 63 mile. It is a long sandy area with a long cliff and a beautiful island right on the shore to which you can go for a swimming game. and Turtle Bay is on 83, 30 leagues northbound 63.

Shark's Cove and 3 desks are part of the Pupukea Marineife Conservation District in the North Shore BEWARE from October to April--KILLER DERRENT. Your snorkellers will know tens of other places you will see on the great snorkeling trail. Ask about park, windsurf, surf, tide, sight, fish and security.
