** Get in[edit]

Razht is a town in northern Iran, about 40 km from the shores of the Caspian Sea. Saasht is known in Iran for its natural beauties and gardens. Rasht and its surrounding area offers a completely different adventure than the South Iran. As everywhere in Iran, Rasht is well served by coach with Tehran and the neighbouring cities.

Argentinian and Azadi tunnels are two major Tehran coach stops connecting the city with Rasht. Common cabs (Savaris) plough the Caspian coastline, making it simple to get to Rasht from anywhere in the area. From Tehran a good option for a journey would be a common cab or coach to Chalus, a scenic itinerary through the Alborz Hills and then a river from Chalus to Rasht.

Shahrdari is Rasht's emblem, his colorful collonial styles are muted by a mini-dome with a striking white painted look. The Rasht Museum is small, but well presented in a building from the 1930s. It is a high-class neighbourhood with many stores, eateries, boutiques and cafés and is a very favourite area for teens and young grown-ups to get together and socialise with their peers, especially on Thursday and Friday afternoons.

It' now the most costly place in Rasht to buy a home or an appartment. Situated 18 km southwest of Rasht (2 km from the Qazvin motorway) is the award-winning Gilan Rural Heritage Museum. The equestrian sculpture is Kuchuk Khan, the Jangali guide of'Soviet Iran'. Iran's national libary was the first Iranian open libary.

First you have to see the area of Golsar in the northern part of the town. It is the most modernised part of the town, where you can find young people strolling around, nice stores and fine cuisine. Golsar, praonaunced Golsar (Persian: ?????), is a outskirts of Rasht. The Rasht area is now the most costly place in town to buy a home.

The Golsar is full of stores, eateries, boutiques and cafés and is the most favourite meeting place for young people and people. Situated 50 km south-west of Rasht, it lasts about 1 hour. You walk from the car park up to the palace (1 hour) through the woods, past cascades and teashops.

Razht and the Caspian province's nearby cities are a great place to try hot walnut-filled coloocheh biscuits. Sara' s the most popular doesogh in Iran. Because of the rich soils, the north of Iran provides a wide range of nutrition. At Rasht these are Shami Rashti, Ardabij (Anar Bij) and Baghala, and Baghala hashogh.

Having eaten kebabs all over Iran all the while, this place will be welcome with beautiful Italien cuisine. There' s a group of inexpensive, central situated Mozaferkhanehs, situated in front of Emam Khomeini Street, just down the Shahrdari Square. The Caravan Guest House (signposted as Karavan Gesting House) is a favourite with travelers because of its inexpensive rooms - single rooms (47,000 rials), double rooms (from 50,000 rials) and triple rooms (from 80,000 rials) - with or without bath.

Busses go to Tehran, Tabriz, Mashad and many towns along the coastline.
