We hiked over the Burnt Pine Market after some while in the visitor centre. They had many handicraft stands, but few veggies. Sunday I went to was quite damp, but the stands had a good selection of products. Saturday markets are mainly a means for the people of the island to buy each other' s groceries.

Interesting, but with only half adoze of booths, not a must. Come by, but it's not really a worthwhile visiting. We had a few stands to look at, some fun and a big stand that sold smoothie and slush. A stopover is also worthwhile here, but it is not worthwhile to redesign the outing.

Isle of Norfolk has a new bookkeeping strategy

Norfolk Island's administrative body, whose old self-governing rules are being revised, is looking for a specialized locally based governance provider to revise the old rules to meet the needs of Canberra, the Australian National Audit Office included. The Norfolk Island state has been scraping for some considerable amount of land, with only about 2210 inhabitants, to generate appropriate income in the manner of the service that the Australian continent expects.

Following two events that hardly rescued the population from being drowned a few years ago, the island now has new helplines and lifepipes in two windsurfing areas, Bumbora and Anson Bay. They have been funded with a subsidy from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (Small Grants for Rural Communities).

Jeremy Watson provided wood, manpower and his ability to make crates to accommodate the telephones and lifepipes, Shane McCoy injected the crates with clear car paint and Norfolk Telecom and Reserves and Forestry Personnel assisted with the plumbing. Peter Davidson, Chief of Conservatoire of Public Reserves, Tim Thompson (Little Nippers Swim School, Surf Life Saving Australia) and Melissa Graham, Island Security Manager, examined the hazards relations for six prime and six secondaries.

Following the inclusion of Australia's reviewers, a GST Arrangement Poll and a Property Rights Review, the authorities are clearly looking forward to bringing it all up to date. "In a bidding process, Regional Procurement, on account of the Norfolk Island public authorities, invites interested and competent stakeholders to bid to replace duplicate municipal business governance schemes on old technological infrastructures, expensive to service and improve and structurally incompatible with a new key platform," says the brief.

Key areas of activity are finance and incoming funds and asset and service managment, real estate and ratings functionality, forecasting, regulatory affairs, client relations, HR and wages accounting. From 7 to 11 December, up to four shortlisted bidders will be invited to Norfolk Island at their own cost to present themselves to the Tender Evaluation Group.

Norfolk Island will adopt a Norfolk Island Regional Council operational plan on July 1, 2016, which could be a one-time opportunity for an early or simultaneous introduction of an upgraded e-recording and data quality feature - something that usually happens a little later in the series.
