We plan to take the Crown Princess from Southampton on 23 June 2010. I would advise not to make an organized tour....Get off the ship, go to the liver buildings and the town is your oyster....Albert Dock on one side of the liver birds...your ship on the other, and the town in front of you.....

We' re on the 22nd August ferry, have a look at many of the suggested tours. The Canal Islands are not part of England, Guernsey is one of the British Crown dependent islands. We plan to take the Crown Princess from Southampton on 23 June 2010.

It' a very scenic city, but it' s quite a walk. I had to take a trip that was appropriate for my 78-year-old family. I went on the Waterford Crystal plant visit that was arranged by the boat (I don't see it on your itinerary). All the way back and forth, the travel leader told and replied to all the queries that someone had.

Well, I think it took an hours each way. When we got back, my folks went back to the boat and I did some groceries in the souvenir stores at the harbour. I' m walking around the city. As I returned to the boat, I saw on the receipts that they had billed me 22 pennies for a plasticmod.

Me and my dad were cruising around with the HOHO, Mama was on the boat. After a stop in Guinness we went on a trip and had a delicious dinner in their restaurante. I was on the Wedgewood Factories boat trip (I don't see it on your route). And we couldn't even visit the plant!

City of Chester on the tourbus. A very nice little city with many shops. Nice ride on the trains overall. There are many mural paintings on the sides of houses all over the city.

Her 36 hours a day and her way of living were in jeopardy. As this also means that the dockers were on strikes, they had to reroute the vessel to Dover, England. and I don't know if they were able to organize any excursions because of the last distraction, I'm sure they had some, but I don't recall what they were.

We' re walking around the city, very nice and historical. Organize your trip yourself and safe your time. So I can't give them any credit where due credit) had a general principle that if the field trip was within an hours propulsion of the vessel, they would arrange it themselves and if the field trip was more than an hour off the vessel they were booking through the vessel.

They' re taking a bid from the boat to the jetty. After waiting for all the day-trippers to leave the boat, we got off at about 9am. So we didn't make any trips and thought we would go for a stroll in the city and visit the places of interest and go to the shops.

Marge, I think Greenock to Glasgow was about an hours drive each way. When you do the tattoo trip, I think you probably won't have a minute to do Glasgow. Turns out there were several other cabs looking for a fare, but it's a weird little jetty about 25 mins outside of the city.

Thank you for taking the liberty to publish all this information...... we will make this trip in June 2011..... and I will start planning. But we have a boy with autism....so boat trips are usually out of us...... it's great when we arrive in harbours where he can just wander around......
