Tahiti is the best time to visit

There is good year round wheather in Tahiti, so there is really no "bad" time to visit, but when you try to find out when the best time to visit Tahiti is, it really does depend on what you want. Tahiti's high seasons last from May to October, with the three busy seasons being June, July and August.

In French Polynesia, these three month are regarded as the most favoured, as the temperature is colder and milder. While Tahiti is still hot and sunshiny, it is not uncomfortable and there is less precipitation with better snorkeling, scuba skiing and boat riding outdoors. Several of Tahiti's most beloved tournaments also take place in the high seasons, such as Heiva in June/July, the Billabong Pro in August and the International Golf Championship in September.

While June, July and August are often regarded as the best time to visit Tahiti, it is remarkable that this is also the most busy time for the islands, with an increase in tourist and holidaymakers. Tahiti's beautiful year-round climate allows you to take full benefit of slightly discounted hotel and resort prices and avoid the masses during the low-seasons.

And for those who want to keep the beaches to themselves, November to April is the best time to visit Tahiti, where you can enjoy these breathtaking beaches in a quieter and more private setting. Visiting during these summers, although warm and moist, will help you appreciate the cool, crystalline water around the isles.

You will also be less competitive with isolated pursuits such as scuba dipping, windsurfing, boating, dolphin watching and deep-sea angling. Resort uptime will be better and you can also make some great cost saving during these slow down month, but rebates are usually minimum in this luxury and exquisite vacation area.
