Obviously, this does not always come from a journey to Hawaii. It is often a coincidental holiday in the midweek or even the separation of e-mail and fax. In the last months I visited Hawaii for the first Egyptian year! A few of my collegiate buddies and I had been talking about going back to the island this past sommer, but when it looked like it wouldn't be happening again, my girlfriend Kirsten and I were so enthusiastic about the notion that we decided to do it anyway!

So we stayed with a girlfriend of mine, Raelean, who is living on Oahu Island, and her cordial welcome was a high point of the journey! She has a beautiful and inspiring soul, and she is one of those individuals whose attendance makes it clear that she has been spending much quality in Jesus' present.

However, the journey was exactly what my mind needed. Making Hawaii the place to relax and re-calibrate, I felt younger and willing to keep working with God to create the kind of lives that reflect the visions He gave me. But for that to happen, I had to plan our route deliberately.

Whilst I had already been on a journey to Iceland and London this past sommer, it was not exactly relaxing (which is good, because that was not the point), but it was a Hawaii antecedent to be just that. It' s my passion to plan travel routes - explore the best places, map places, set up a timetable and find out what makes business sense and when.

In the end we ended up on a route that was the ideal mixture of recreation and action (because exploration is definitely something that also filled me ?). While this may sound like your kind of holiday, I trust our week-long Oahu Island tour can be a useful asset when planning your next one!

It was more than enough the 6am talk on our outing with Dolphin and You - that was easy my favourite thing we did the whole journey. While I could try to describe how much better everything was down there, where it is more humid under the ocean (?), I will let the nice pictures of Pollphin Photography do the speaking.

You also have Dole Whip (you know, the same delicious preparation you can buy outside the Tikki room at Disneyland), but after I learned all about pinapple and how to pluck the right one, I couldn't do without a big'old mug of the succulent fruits in their original state. One of my favourite parts of this experiment was to learn that it will take two years for the pins to bear fruits - two years.

This made me think of all the times I tasted this fruits without knowing how long it took for it to be there. The pineapple reminded me that it takes a long pause to make beauty. I' ve heard about this rockin' boom from one of my favourite blogs and let me tell you, it's NOT inconvenient!

There are actually several treeturns in Oahu. We had Banzai in North Shore, so we took one for dinner while watching the sun set on the beach - the ideal way to finish our second days! Walk with a snack and plenty of prepared-it' s only about 3-4 hrs round the clock, but the moisture will take it out of you and watch out as it's extremly wind.

As this walk is essentially the equivalence of a 3-hour walk with the Stairmaster, your feet will be jell-o after work is done and you will only want to hang around on the shore for the remainder of the walk - that's all we had to do!

At the end we went with Lanikai Beach and so much we liked it that we spent our last days there. Kualoa Ranch is home to several movie venues, such as Jurassic Park, and ATV's are the ideal way to see it! They could devote the whole of their days gazing at the wonderful diversity of sea creatures at one of the best snorkelling sites in the whole wide underworld.

Cocoa is a trade and business area in Honolulu where you will find nice paintings on the streets - and at least one or two persons who always pose for their ideal instagram work.

When there is a better way to enjoy your last night in Hawaii than to eat plenty of Kalua pig meat and sip beverages with clean pineapples while you watch the dancing at a sundown, I'd like to know what it is. The Luaus are available all over Hawaii, but we chose the one in Paradise Cove.

As we were in the process of scheduling our route, we reserved our last days for a days at the beaches, where at the end the beaches were our favourite among all those where we were spending the whole fortnight. Hopefully you liked to hear about our journey and to see some of the pictures - thank you for taking the opportunity to take the reading part!
