What is going on with Waiheke?

The Waiheke Islands is the perfect place for a week-end or all-season excursion with vineyards, hiking trails, beach and scenic view - all just a stone's throw from Auckland. In November, with vernal weather in the sky, there are even more reason to visit: The organizers of three of the island's most beloved activities, Waiheke Island Garden Safari, Waiheke Literary Festival and Waiheke Walking Festival, have come together to advertise November on Waiheke (NOW) and say that tourists and local people will be overcrowded.

The Waiheke Iceland Garden Safari is a large fundraising campaign for the Jassy Dean Trust, which is helping ill kids and their family on the Isle. Each year there are new parks to explore, in addition to the multi-year favorites. You' ll see Waiheke Islands wafers that are normally not open to the public and appreciate the creative power of these inspirational coastline sites.

The visitor can see as many parks as they like, two nights by car. The Waiheke Garden Safari will take place on November 7 and 8, 2015. Tickets purchasers have privileged admission to some of Waiheke Island's most interesting parks and support the Jassy Dean Trust.

Waiheke'all things literary' becomes a wonderful ecclectic mixture of free and paid shows. Beginning with write workshop on Friday 13 November, the event will open on Friday night at 6pm at the Waiheke Community Gallery. High points of the event are a literature luncheon with award-winning reporter and comedian Steve Braunias and sculptress Peter Lange at Cable Bay Estate and a lecture on the new work of Matthew, Mark, Luke and Joanne by renowned New Zealand dramatist Karl Nixon.

Literary Lunch is back and will take place this year on Sunday in the Cable Bay vineyards and restaurants. The Waiheke Walking Festival. From saturday 14. November 2015 - sunday 22. November 2015 8:00 - 18:00 o'clock. When you want to extend your feet a little further than the garden allows, you must return to the Waiheke Walking Festival.

This year' s high point, with 45 hikes of different length and challenges, is the five-day, accompanied hike along the 100 km long Te Ara Hura Trail, which was opened in 2014. It is a trekking tour through peaceful areas of indigenous scrub, breathtaking headlands and the islands towns, which provide a completely different view of the isle.
