Medway Council's Tourism Website

One of the most ambitious and evolving cities in the southeast, Medway combines its famous legacy with a fast-growing culture in the Continent up and coming. The name Medway derives from the beautiful stream that runs through it and consists of the three large cities of Rochester, Chatham and Gillingham. Each city has its own place in its own past and its own distinctive image - especially Rochester with its icons of fortress and church and links to Charles Dickens, and Chatham with its marine and defence fortifications.

Together they ensure a varied and thrilling joint adventure. This area is the capital of the Southeast - with more than 30 free of charge holidays and free of charge activities every year. Be it lively outdoor parties, open-air shows and plays, or big sports competitions at Medway Park.
