Noseem appointed Group General Manager for Villa Hotels & Resorts |

Quaisar Naseem has taken over the management of Villa Hotels & Resorts. A hotel operator two decade-ago, Mr. Quaisar has been General Manager of Paradise Island Resort & Spa since January 2010. "My vision for the coming years is the analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of all operating issues of Villa Hotels & Resorts within the Group's real estate", comments he.

From Fuvahmulah City, Mr. Naseem began his hotel and catering careers with Thudufushi as a desk clerk. One year later he came to Villa Hotels & Resorts at Royal Island Resort & Spa at Baa Atoll. At the Royal Island Resort, which was under building at the time, Mr. Quaisar was in charge of the management and work.

When the Royal Island Resort opened in 2001, he became Assistant Manager and was soon appointed Acting Manager. Qaisar took over the leadership of the resort at Paradise Island Resort in 2010 after graduating in Hospitality in Malaysia. A year later he was appointed Director General and has been in this function ever since.

Mr. Qaisar feels that the key to his hospitality career is disciplined, committed, proactive and dedicated. Mr. and Mr. Qaisar are behind a series of awards that Paradise Island Resort has won; he was also voted Best General Manager in the Indian Ocean and MATATO Maldives Travel Awards as Tourism Personality of the Year 2017 at the World Luxury Hotels Awards 2015.
