Accessible Activities/Tours - Coral Coast

Visiting Fiji about 4 days a year, I have been able to spend a few long days there and have found some really good coral coast activity that is not always promoted. I' ve fell in fond of the coral coast and am now there every year when I come to Fiji, which is the case several a year.

The majority of Fijiers come to Fiji to swim and to go snorkeling in the wonderful water, so I will make my first proposals in this sense. Snorkeling - In recent years, local residents on the coral coast have done little to preserve their sea creatures and corals. There are many places to visit, but on my last journey I found a very unique place that preserves the corals and the natives have planted babycorals in the last 7 years or so.

A lot of huge corals, big shells and a lot of nemos and other strange and wonderful animals :-).... this is the Marine Protected Area (MPA). MPA is in Votua Village. It is not permitted to take visitors, only skilled local people are permitted to take visitors, as they are serious about their work.

Anything is commercialized since Native Americans don't have the medium of exchange to do so, but if you elasticity Fabi a telephone on +6796530064, she organizes a Native to filming you out, its single a tract swimming from the water. She is an Itallian and besides her Filipino spouse she runs a nice café named Eco Café in Votua Village.

Simply cruise along the coast until you find what you like. At low water, the Coral Coast is not the best place to swim in many places...... but the best place to swim if you are looking for open areas, nice sandy beaches with many shaded areas to chill out, then Natadola is just the place for you.

It' between Nadi and Sigatoka. It is signposted on the highway where you turn off. I' d seen announced waterfalls but on my last journey I asked the travel desks where we spent the night if there was a less expensive way and if there was one. After our last stay they have constructed a smaller cliff basin for kids and there is a lot of space for hiking and exploring.

It has now constructed wood desks and stools for its visitors. So we went back a second times to see theovo. I need you to come to Korolevu town. Corolevu lies in the middle of the coral coast. In between there is a dirt track leading intoland.

Follow this street until you arrive at the end of the street (about 5 km). The first was not too poor, the second was not too poor after the hurricane, but it was rated and was quite good in a normal one.

It is a 45 minute stroll from the Naviti Resort to the central area. Inhabitants have constructed a stone swimming pools from the warm water, encircled by wonderful lush trees. Situated in the interior of Sigatoka Town. Töpferdorf was a lovely tomorrow. As soon as you enter the town, you will be able to find parking wherever it suits you.

They are guided through the town by a woman and it is a great chance to see a true Fiji town and see how fundamental some of the two are. We were then taken to the area where they show us how they make ceramics. They will show you how the sap/wax from the tree turns the warm earthenware into ceramics.

Most of us were maintained by the villagers because most men would have been at work. Then, the woman sits on the mats in front of the ceramic articles they make. It was worth it because all the funds go directly to the town and the ladies' families from whom you buy your goods.

There are also Fiji Boers made of gras and reed in the area. Drive to Sigatoka city. There' re a stream along the city, you will find the street that follows the stream on the side of the city' Souvenirs. Follow this street upcountry until you find the small signs to the potter community, not far and the street is ok for a normal vehicle.

You will find the hamlet on your lefthand side. Its not best subscribed but we kept asking local people and they kept pointing down the street until we found them From Sigatoka city it is only 5 - 10 minutes by car. In Sigatoka and right next to the river there is only one round.

This is the street that goes along the rivers and the stores, remain on this street until you see the post. As far as the eyes can see, the coast stretches, turns around and you have a great outlooks.

From Sigatoka you have to go in the direction of Suva and immediately after the viaduct you will see a road signs and have to turn right. Leave the city until you see the signs. The pictures will be great and the village is interesting.

You' ll find out what the natives are eating.
