Upolu picture of Matareva Beach Fales: Best beaches of Mojácar Playa The Mojácar Playa is a small seaside town in the east of Andalusia, which has its home along the Mediterranean coast under the beautiful Sierra Cabrera mountaine. Mojácar takes its name from the historical hillueblo, which fits into the area. A number of reasons why this area is off the beaten track.

It is a fairly long way from the coast and runs through the landscape, usually leading to less crowded sands. Alicante and Malaga low-cost airfields are 2.5 h. away. Although it is relatively well known, especially among Spaniards, Mojácar is still something of a dormant beautie, which offers the enthusiastic lover of the beautiful sandy coast a shimmering variety of possibilities.

Select between 17 km of gentle Mediterranean coast, where some nice shores are escorted by beach walks with immediate vehicle entry and others are concealed by stunning crags. Mojácar Playa is in the limelight with this updated set of detailed editorials featuring the latest advice on the best bathing areas, aquatic areas, car parks and of course the most compelling cheringuitos.

In Mojácar, wildlife has always been an important factor, where the coast has a different appearance and is often exceptionally beautiful. There are a host of water miracles waiting for you, among them unspoilt virgin and unspoilt unsurfaced shoreline with mountains, sand near the Rio Aguas deltas, fully-developed virgin fringed and chiringuitos beach and secret naturistic sites that can be reached by a brief walk through an amazing alpine world.

The eleven best Mojácar resorts are reviewed here in detail to help you find the ideal place for your next seaside holiday. Mojácar has one of three Blue Flagged Beaches, which is the first stop when coming from the south. It is easy to reach from the neighbouring city of Garrucha.

Situated in a favourite resort area and almost entirely frequented by foreigners, it boasts a range of aquatic activities such as kayak, yachting, banana boat trips and wakeboarding. The Laguna del Río Aguas, a nature reserve, lies at the end of this stretch of coastline where the stream joins the ocean.

Refreshments are offered by a fistful of cheringuitos on the vast beach, which is rightly a trademark of cleanness and cuisine. It is a place of peace and tranquillity and is a small distance between the Rio Aguas Laguna and the famous Playa Descargador.

There is a lovely little seaside lodge here where you are sure to be able to communicate with the people. It is the second Blue Flag sandy area in Mojácar Playa. It is long, broad and has pale grey sandy areas, ranging from rough to smooth and very clear. There are many pitches just around the corner and there is a favourite Neptuno seaside restuarant serving delicious seafood and paella.

There is a small mound between the seafront street and the ocean that shields this part of the coastline from curious views and provides extra serenity. It is easy to recognize the beaches by the cliffs that rise into the ocean just off the shore. Piedra Villazar is the third Blue Flag winning Mojácar resort.

Mojácar's less frequented View of the Angels is easy to reach and unexpectedly centrally-situated. The Chiringuito Kontiki is situated in the village of Playa Piedra Villazar and is highly recommended by the people. The 2.800 meters long sandy area in the centre of Mojácar is a kind of theme attractiveness, but in the best way.

Mojácar's Playa del Cantal is the most favourite place for young folk who want to walk here with their hands on glass of vine and hear it. It is a regular destination during the summers but is empty in October. There is a new walkway along the top of the hill, but the small beaches with small bays and caverns are hardly visible from there.

Sometimes the ocean comes very close to the rocks and leaves small sands. Nevertheless, it is a great nature place where you can sometimes dive into the freshwater nude and unguarded. In 2016 the new design of the Mediterranean Paseo (promenade) was completed.

There are many lovely places for kids to enjoy playing. The Chiringuito Samoa Surf is an ideal place for a Tinto de Verano (summer wine). Mojácar Playa's longest and quietest one. Here you can always find a lovely place to put up an umbrella and relax for a relaxing days by the sea on not only a long but also up to 80 metre broad gorge.

Favourite seaside resorts such as Tito's and Lua lie directly on the shore and offer delicious meals and ice-cold beers. It is situated just outside the Mojácar area, so you can easily park on one of the many free places along the mall.

Situated in the most southern part of Mojácar, this 1,400 m long nature sandy spot is particularly loved by local people looking for remoteness. Just a brief driving distance from more crowded areas, the main feature of the island's beaches is its large stony watch tower, Castillo de Macenas. There is a country lane down to the shore, which can be used on foot as well as by road and provides many spectacular vistas of spectacular igneous outcrops.

A further nature-strand, outside the city, one reaches over a lovely coast way with the auto or even better with the Mountainbike. Its enchanting, jagged coast makes this one of the best beaches in the Cabo de Gata area. You can also find the lovely Chiringuito Manaca on the shady beaches, where you can relax under the shadow of a broad sunshade and have a snack while sip your favourite cocktails or ice-cold beers.
