I am only at the beginning of our journey, & at this point it looks as if we will first see the South Island, then the North Island. There is a great deal to do in the central and southwestern part of the South Island, like Christchurch, Arthur's Pass Area, West Coastline, Fiordland Natl Prk, Milford & other track, sound, cruise, &fly overs.

I am not sure what I should do in the northern part and on the eastern, southeastern and southern coasts of the South Island. - Once in the Fiordland/Queenstown, West coast and Arthur's Pass areas, would the other parts in the South, West and North be similar or similar in experience?
