However, this record offers the exciting sounds of slot drum, alkali and stamped bamboos, deruas that amplify clave-like embroidery and the clap of vocalists with the hollow of their hands.

Twenty-three tracks on the 59-minute long record include a multitude of myke, dance/song/instrumental combinations: the thrilling martial arts dances, javelin dancing, soft vertical and horizontal songs that tell folktales, and an ostensible chant. Tonal performance is good, but the mic seems many meters away. Repetitive hearing will recognize the variations in music, but it's the drum that I like most.
